we were caught......

-continued-
(Sorry for interrupting but it's a warning right here since I thought this segment is dark, so if you want to skip, than skip I until I tell ya.)

You know, I remember my time I encountered a dogcatcher. It was after my owner abandoned me. I was stuck in that box for days and I got hungry. I needed food. So, I climbed out that box and went to get some...it was a horrible mistake.

I left the alley that was safe, also the box that kept me hidden from harm. I didn't know the dangers of the world, I was just hungry. So I searched for food. I dug in the garbage bags and tipped over some cans just to eat. It was disgusting but I was too hungry to care. I was also too hungry to notice, the figure that crept up on me.

It was a man, a human? Maybe he would help me? I foolishly thought as I approached him but all he did was grabbed at me. Those hands..were scary and I could sense he wanted to do harm to me so I dodged him.....I ran from him. He was dangerous...I could tell.

My instincts screamed at me to run, so I ran. Or at least I tried. My legs were too tiny to outrun him, I was soon caught. Put in a cage and thrown into a metallic vehicle. I was brought to a building with lots of cages and the room smelled of fear, why? What were they so afraid of?

I didn't know what they feared but I soon did....after the dog across from me was taken to a room and never came out....from that room came a horrible scent. Whatever it was, I knew it was bad.....

(Okay dark part over!)

Flashback End:
Oh my gosh....oh my gosh! I need to get out of here! It's dark and crowded! Where's the exit! Okay! Stop and calm yourself! Don't panic! Panicking just causes distress!

"Thanks a lot, Duke." Really Max! At a time like this!

"I don't like to use this phrase because it's offensive to our kind, but you are a bad dog! Katie's not going to like this. I can't go to the pound. What? What's wrong with you?" Max says like he's justified saying that...than again, no! Their both at fault! Stubborn idiots...

"Well, Katie just... She just got me out of the pound." What....

"And if I go back... Max, it's the end of the line for me." No..

"I-is this true?" I asked. I can't believe this...is what happened to that dog going to happen to him? Is that what he meant?! No...no. No!

"We have to get out, Now." I demanded and for once the boys didn't argue with me.

"Okay, does anyone see a way out? Where are the keys? Who can reach what? And if we can't use the back door than look for another escape." I told them. When your trapped and about to bust out, you need a plan unless you want to be caught again.

"Uh, I can see that we're in a van...in the same cage and the door is on our right." Max says.

"Okay...this is not that hard. Anymore escape ways?" I asked.
"Mmm, no. It looks like the door is the only way and there is only us here..."

BANNG

"Oh...and also that dog."Max says.

"Huh, I wonder if he can help us out."I wondered.

BANG BANG BANG

"It seems he's a little busy."

"...."

"...."

"Anyways! Back to the plan! We need to-"
