"Do you, like him?" The Dark Lord sat in front of the fire place. This is where he always sat when he called for her in the evenings. She walked towards him. His back was turned to her as he set his sights on the blaise infront of him.

"Does he, please you?" He asked as she kneeled by his side. Sitting just enough to lean against his leg. Allowing him to rest a hand on her head.

"My lord. If this union pleases you. Then it pleases me." Viola purred out. Hoping this would be a satisfactory answer. Not wanting to delve into the whirlpool of what she truly thought about this whole ordeal, about him..

The hand on her head was removed. And Viola looked up and around to her master out of shock. "You know that's not what I mean, pet." He said lightly but with an annoyance in his voice that warned her not to play coy with him. She bowed her head and leaned back in.

He would sense if she was being untruthful. So there was no point in hiding her feelings. But she was skilled enough to get away with not saying what she truly thought. She knew the more information she gave him. The more he could use it against her.

"I don't like how he looks." She said. Almost childishly. The dark lord laughed. Placing a hand back on her head. He was pleased with this truthful answer.

"My child. Looks are not everything. You learned to like me despite how I am now." He hummed. Sitting back contently.

He was wrong. On so many accounts. The Dark Lord didn't know how much she detested these moments. How she hated being treated like some sort of pure breed pet. How she wished for nothing more than to use the gifts magic gave her to end this torture. But Viola just laughed and agreed. "You're right My Lord. But you in your own way are a magnificent exception."

The Dark Lord laughed in agreement. "You should have seen me in my prime. I promise I was much more appealing. Now I have to rely on personality. Which I am sure Severus has a great deal of... In private." He thought. Perhaps these words were not as incourageing as he thought. "None the less. This is a good position for you to be in. There is no safer place than Hogwarts at this moment. And when the time comes. When all you have shown me comes to fruition. It will be easy to extract you my dear. You can live a normal life soon after. This is just a precaution. I promise."

He felt her head dip. And when silence came and no response was heard. He leaned forward. "He will not harm you. I trust Severus. I wouldn't give you to him if I thought otherwise." She looked up. It wasn't that at all. She didn't fear the man she had been bound to. Nor did she fear the situation she was in. If it meant getting out. And getting away. She gladly would take anyone. What she was scared of. Was what she had shown him. And.. what she had not.

"I..." She began. "I trust you my Lord. I'm just nervous. Leaving here. Leaving your side. I understand I need protected. But My Lord... Who will protect you in my absence?" This was truly something she didn't worry about at all. Her mask was a strong one. She had been able to learn what pleased him. How to act around him. What to say. And he suspected nothing but pure, maddening devotion. A stockholm syndrome if you will.

The dark lord was very please by her words. "My child do not fear for me. As long as your visions are true. I have nothing to worry about." She felt the sensation of weight and scails on her legs. The snake spoke in that hiss sort of way only the dark one understands.

"Nagini is right. I also have her. And with you safe. What could go wrong? I am power. I can weed through my followers. Despite how you so.. Vocally call out ones and question their loyalty. I will miss your astute observations. But your safety comes first. And with me on the move. I do not trust the Malfoy's with your safe keeping. This must happen."

Yes it must. The sooner and farther she is away from this place. Away from him. The freer she will be. Hours. Only a few hours left. And she would be let loose. She would be free. This place. This expectation. Wasn't freedom. Nor would be the next but it would be more.. normal.

"I understand my lord. And I thank you for this gift." She smiled up at him. Genuine. Sweet. But a hint of sadness that he could sense. Perfect loyalty. In his eyes she wanted nothing more than to stay by his side. But she would follow his commands with utter loyalty.

"Hufflepuff hmm." He sat back. Contemplating her. "It served you well."
