"Sirius Black you great oaf!" Molly screamed from the kitchen as sirius bounded out in great black dog form. Between his maw, a large bit of serloin steak. Molly ran after him, spatula in hand as her weapon. "You!! One of these days you're going to have to stop acting like a child!" She called after him, the volume of her voice only matched by the laughter of one bleach bonde haired witch who sat on the thin stair bannister.
From the outside of the appartment complex of 12 Grimmauld Place, despite it's outwardly normal and muggle appearence, nothing about it seemed, ordinary. Expecially if you add the fact. That as Severus walked his wife up to the door. He heard the commotion from the inside. It was always like this. They didn't take the fact that they were supposed to be under cover seriously at all. And yet. He heard her laugh. His wife's laugh was...
He was always so tense. Even outside in the fresh air. Even when he told her he was taking her to see friends. He was always so stone like. Viola giggled again. Clinging to her husband's arm. "Come on. I want to see what's going on inside." She pulled on his sleeve. "I can hear a witch in there." She said. And Severus knew what she meant. She didn't just hear the laughter from within. She heard that witches mind. "What is she thinking."
Viola let go of her husband and opened that door. "That there's a dog inside!" She smiled widely.
That wasn't supposed to be possible. That.. that can't happen. That door is locked. Bound by a special magic. One in which only allows those who have a true friend on the other side to open the door. There's no possible way... That she had anyone..
The minute she opened the door and walked through. A large black dog bounded into her. The impact was accidental. Viola loved animals. Expecially dogs. She had one when she was in ST. Mungo's. In a way. It was a while since she could really be around one. And she was already incredibly excited but the prospect of meeting new people. Expecially people she could be herself around. It didn't even occur to her to be careful. Or humble. Or meek. So she rushed in. And now found herself on her back. With a gigantic black dog laying on top of her.
Severus rushed in. Ready to help his wife. But he stopped. The look on her face was, something he didn't expect. She looked at the dog. Her eyes were wide and sparkled. And her mouth was agape. The dog was almost the same. Dropping the piece of meat, tongue hanging out. The both seemed entranced by one another. But that wasn't a dog. And everyone around knew it. But they were unsure what to do.
Severus felt his face burning. A sudden wave of possesivness washing over him. That was his wife that dog was on. Circumstances may have not been ideal. But she was his. And he wouldn't have anyone. Or any 'thing' touch her. He moved to yank the furry adversary off of his wife. But suddenly. Viola's arms moved to embrace the dog. And her eyes suddenly changed. They were closed, tears leaking from them.
Her voice was low at first. But then grew. One word. Over and over. "Sirius... Sirius..." She was calling for him? No this wasn't possible. How could she? Everyone was looking. Unsure what to say. Unsure what to do. Molly had her spatula. As if it was a wand. The bleach blonde hair witch jumped from the bannister, wand at the ready. And a man hung in the doorway to the kitchen. Just as in shock as Severus was.
In a flash of magic the dog changed. And Viola was scooped up in the arms of a raggidy clothed man. An unshaven man. A man with hair as wild as his mind. A man covered in tattoos. Just like... Just like. Her.
"Puppy." Sirius Black cradled Viola. Hugged her close to his chest. As if he had found something precous he lost. They we're crying now in each others arms. And Severus couldn't understand what was going on. Or what to do. He wanted to hold Viola the way Sirius was. He wanted to know what she felt for the dog. And Severus wanted her to feel that for him.
