He felt like he couldn't breath. His head was swimming. It was full. Too full. Of thoughts that must belong to another man. Thoughts he only had previews of once before. These were strange. And wonderful. And horrible all at once. And as he looked from the floor, where his teaching robes sat, to the mirror. He found that he didn't recognize himself in it.

Severus walked closer. A hand running through his hair. Was this, him? His pupils were dilated. His face was flushed. His pants felt too tight. No this had to be another man. For the one standing in the mirror.. was alive. And had a glimpse of a reason to keep living. To be honest with ones self. He saw a man who was younger. A man finding hope. Finding...

He turned towards the door. She was still out there. Right now. Wrapped in his sheets. Laying on his pillow. The frail, slim body being engulfed by rich fabric. She was so incredibly helpless. No wonder the Dark Lord wanted someone he could trust to look over her. She needed the protection.

He sighed. Leaning on the counter. Looking down into the dark marble sink. Taking a moment to gain control over himself. Finding his center in the absolute jungle of feelings the little witch had planted in him was harder than it looked. He growled in defeat and moved to the tub. The water was still in it. Still warm. Shedding the rest of his clothing and throwing it on the pile. He sank into the water.

It didn't help like he thought it would. Beacuse now the evidence of how she made him loose himself was free. He tried desperately to relax. To think critically. To not let his mind wander to her... To not focus on the innocence in her beauty. To not picture her figure walking towards him. To not longer on the feeling of her body against his. To not close his eyes to see her doe ones staring back at him.

He gave in. Or lost a battle. Depending on how you look at it. His hand moved on his own. And his mind gave in. This was hell. This wasn't at all who he was and it was utterly disgusting. Being dragged this low by nothing but a favored chess piece in the Dark Lords game. This was indeed what Lucius must have been talking about when he said the with had a way of getting into people's minds. Severus only thought quickly to if the man had fallen off the same ledge as Severus. Which for some odd reason made him incredibly angry.

But his mind was soon dragged back to her. To those eyes.

And Viola sat up. Her eyes looking towards the bathroom door. And her face growing flush as she quickly burried herself deeper into the blankets and pillows. For such a thick door... He must be rather loud for such noises to escape it.. This was absolutely wonderful. She never felt more powerful. Men were. Predicable. But this was different. She had gotten through to him. In one way or another. But instead of.. well. He would rather try and hide it. Then use her. And that was the most wonderful part.

He wouldn't use her.

Everyone did. The doctors, the Azkaban psychologists. The Dark Lord... They all used her. But no one had ever thought of her first. Of how their actions could hurt her. He concidered his actions. He calculated his action. Even his thoughts were regulated in that moment. Where others would strike. He dismissed her. He dismissed his need to sedate that which all normal men feel. She knew, expecially with the vocalization he was making. He above most felt this need.

This. Would make things awkward. If she made mention of what she heard... She feared he would never do it again. Or worse, draw into himself even more. A man like he has.. layers. To be able to sucsessfully comunicate with one such as that. There needs to be a slow progression. You can't just tear through it. For he will see it as a threat. And build back up walls that we're even stronger.

But the most important thing she learned from this. Is he didn't see her as a threat.

She stretched under the fountain of blankets. Breathing in his smell. She smiled. The potion she took to make her more... Invisible in a sense. Wearing off. And the tint of childish madness was seeping into her mind. She loved this feeling. Being surrounded by such fabric in this state. Everything felt so much more real. She could stay like this all day. Enjoying the senation. She didn't notice when Severus quietly exited the bathroom. And quickly began to change.

He watched the bed carefully for any movement. He couldn't see her head as she was so wrapped in.. he looked at her as he finished buttoning the over suit he had chosen to wear. This was. Just another new thing to him. She looked so small in the bed. In his bed. And another strange thought. That as he watched her. She looked like she had always belonged there.

Severus was both captivated and afriad. No one.. not a single person. Had bore his or her way into his very core like she had. And so quickly. He didn't understand it. But he couldn't help himself from walking closer. Slowly. As to not wake her if she was sleeping. And even that did not sedate him. For as he got to the bed side. He could not stop himself from sitting on the side of it. And when she did not move. He felt somewhat worried. And so he, cautiously, leaned over close. Taking the fabric that covered her head off slowly.

A small hand shot out from the blankets. And it rested itself on his face. He looked down to see two eyes looking over from under the blankets. And he heard the smallest laugh. But once again he felt himself freeze. The warmth of her hand did not leave it's place.on his cheek for a moment. Seeping into his skin was something more. Something forienge.

Peace.

Severus furrowed his brows in confusion. Lifting his hand to the one on his cheek. Overlaying the small appendage. He breathed in. Letting his eyes close. Reveling in the feeling of whatever she created, whatever she held inside her that she was gifting to him. But he came to his senses. Removing the hand from his face. Letting it fall into his. He looked down at her hand in his. How small it was.

And he stood quickly. Leaving her in the bed. He walked towards the door to the outer room. "Change. I will be in my office. I..." He turned his head when he heard her sit up. His mind and body betraying him as he dared to look at her for just a moment. "I trust you to... find you way on your own this time..."

And he left her. And Viola laughed. For she felt something from him.in that moment. Something seeping into her hand as he held it in his. Something she never truly had before. And would cherish always. She stood. Knowing full well. Her devotion was no longer to the Dark Lord. For the user of dark magic could not give to her what she needed. What she truly wanted above all else in this world. Yes she longed for freedom. This was true. And this was what her original quest was but now. She was offered something far more precous. Far more rare to her.
