How would he call her to wake? Would he wake up, stoke her hair, call her princess? Would she like that..? Sirius had called her Puppy... Then again, that's what Remus called Tonks every now and again. But still, he felt the need to come up with something more endearing. Something only he could call her. Mrs. Snape was so dry and formal. Viola was just her name. He wanted to make sure she knew, that in his eyes she was still human.

What did she like? He realized he never really asked about her preferences. Not a single one. From her general appearence he could tell she liked vintage things. Her monocle. The way she dressed. The way she styled her hair. The jewelry she wore. The shoes... Her feet were incredibly narrow. How did he never notice that before. Tiny little thing she was. If one wasn't careful. You'd think she was half house elf.

My darling. Princess. Little one. He went over a few in his mind. Yes.. little one was perfect. He looked down at her. The light was streaming in though the curtain where he couldn't quite close it. It draped across her face just enough to not wake her. But make her look beautiful, unearthly even. Like this tiny dark haired angel that just happened to find comfort in the arms of some undeserving mortal.

He sighed. He was always an early riser. But her breathing was hypnotic. It's rythm soothing. And he felt himself drift again.

And he snored. That's what woke her. She lifted her head to watch him. Viola wondered what he dreamed of. Surely his life was more than just potions, war and death eater buisness. There was a man under all that black, she was sure of it.

But she was hungry. She didn't eat much last night after having to defend herself. She didn't feel physically in danger last night but. Mentally. There were still some things she had to keep to herself. And now that the order knows who she is. It was only a matter of time before he did. Which means.. her time at Hogwarts may soon come to an end.

He was a cruel man. A chess player of lives. He had been doing it his whole life. Unintentionally when younger. But when he learned he could use it as a weapon. When he learned he could have others fight his wars. When he learned he could manipulate to that extent... He played with lives Albus Dumbledore. And she, she feared him over all creatures.

She took one long look at her her man in black before slowly getting up, putting on the black robe he worse just breifly last night. And exiting the room quietly.

The house was still asleep. Say for noise in the kitchen. Molly, viola thought. Everything was so dark. Despite the life she was sure entered and exited the house on a regular basis. She remembered Sirius telling her about his home life. And knew the reason for the constant darkness. There was an ooze about the color of the walls. Terrible memories and violence seeped out the cracks and pealing wallpaper. Screaming and crying both of anger and sadness rang through the halls still. Like ghosts of memories past. Things she didn't experience first hand, but still the weight of it all clung to her like a desperate child.

She rounded the hallway. Making it to the narrow stair case. The bannister was halfway cleaned. As if someone started, but stopped. Or gave up. She ran her hand down the clean bit as she made her way down. The walls were lined with cobwebs, and behind the cobwebs were bones of unique creatures, cloth covered portrait, and what she could only assume to be documents of achievement and land ownership.

She was studying a particular deed that looked centuries old. The language was one she did not recognize. But by the looks of it... It was one about.. House Elf ownership.. a snap and a pop rang through her ears. Startling her and she grabbed the bannister.

"My mistress knows when blood of the purest houses enters hers. She is honored. Madame Grindeldwald." A decrepit old House Elf bowed from a few steps below her, where the shine of the banister turned to a dusty texture. He was wearing the mark of a slaved House Elf. She knew that's what it was from Dobby telling her of his past. But what she didn't understand.. was why he was still bound to this house, bound to the family. Surly Sirius...
