Severus shut the door quickly. As the fire inside his office licked at the floor. Stepping out with it. A tall man. His cane stepping before him.

"Lucius..." Severus greeted the man. "A bit bold of you to be here at this hour." He questioned the man's arival as he moved towards his desk. Closing the book he was reading.

"Couldn't be helped." The man looked just annoyed to be here as Severus did to have him in his office. "Your, wife." He smirked. "Left this disgusting thing in my library." He tossed a bag to the floor. A skull shaped hookah rolling out of it.

Severus's eyes were like ice. He didn't care for his honor to be tested. To be thrown about. And despite how he destested the idea of being bonded. He hated more the lack of respect this man showed Viola, and in terms himself.

He remembered the days of their friendship. They were not many. But they were true. Of recent years. It seemed as though they competed over an invisible prize. Perhaps, it was not so invisible. For they all fought for survival now.

"Is that all." Severus asked. Looking up at his blond haired guests with suspicion.

"No." Lucius sighed. "No I have a message. From the dark lord." He took out a bound file. Handing it to his host. When he did not take it, he grunted and let it fall on the floor with the skull.

"Instructions. Viola, excuse me. Mrs. Snape. Is not to leave the castle unsupervised. Ever. Unless the dark lord wills it. As such. You are to bring her to out meetings. Once every week. Unless otherwise instructed. Finally, that is a compendium of her medical history, and observations of the St. Mungo's staff. That may... Help you..." He sneared. Turning around to exit from whence he came.

"Lucius.. Wait." Severus called out.

Lucius turned slowly. Standing there indignantly. Waiting for what could possibly be worthy of wasting his time.

"What.. is she...?" He asked. Cautiously. Not quite sure how or what he was asking.

Lucius smirked. "As far as I'm concerned. A bad omen. And I'm thankful to have her out of my home. Away from my wife. And out of the dark lords pocket. For now..." He turned once again. And entered the fire place.

"Watch your head Severus. She has a way of.. getting inside it." The flames flaring up once again. Leaving Severus in his office, alone, with just a Hookah. And a pile of what he in a way asked for, a manual on his Wife.

"Do you ever get this terrible feeling like, no matter what you do. You're never going to be someone's equal?" Viola mused over the mushroom salad she made.

"Miss. I'm a house elf." Dobby looked up at her and shrugged.

She suddenly felt, very embarassed. "Oh Merlin's beard I'm so sorry... I often forget the continued persecution of your kind which quite frankly is very racist of me. But I haven't had a lot of time.. out. If you get my drift." She sat on a log wood table that was right next to the kitchens. Preffering to eat here instead of in the hall. Besides. She liked the company.

"It's all right miss. It's not all the same round the world. I'm sure where you come from, it was different." Dobby sat next to her on the table. Noticing the witch had yet  to use a single chair in the entire castle. But didn't mind it. It felt more personal this way.

Viola thought back. "You know I'm not sure. Perhaps I was too young to truly notice. When things are just as they are, with no one to question it. One finds they don't question it either. The power of the status quo is probably one of the biggest problems for all, muggle, wizard and elf come to think of it." She shook her head. "We are blind to a great many sufferings until it affects us."
