Second period went smooth. Other than a ravenclaw boy accidentally dumping over a jar of jumping spiders. But for the first time Viola actually felt useful and cleaned up the mess before Severus had an absolute melt down. She was begining to learn more and more that his personality was... Scattered. And if she was right. Which she'd been around enough St. Mungo's doctors to know a thing or two...
He was bottling up his emotions so feverishly. All that came out is bursts of anger. Which gave her hope. As sad as it was. That perhaps. Deep down.
And she meant, way way deep down.
There was a man inside all that anger. Kind, broken and hurting. Just like her.
She could work with that.
The last class let out. And as expected. Severus stormed to his office. Viola sighed. This.. was going to be something to get used too. She hated being ignored.
There wasn't much she could do alone. It was getting dark... She did her best to clean up. Pushing in stools and rearranging her husband's desk. She thought it best to familiarize herself with the room better. The ingredients weren't placed as random as she originally thought. Instead of being done alphabetically. It seemed to be done.. categorically.
The ingredients were bunched by the lessions from year one. The further you go along, the harder the potions got and the ingredients were always there. She like that. Honestly it was how she did things when she had room to set up. It kept her from loosing track of how to make things.
She yawned. Not sure how long she had been out here studying the shelves. She looked to Severus's office door... There was a small flicker of light coming through the cracks of where wood met stone. She walked up to it. Half expecting him to be there. Waiting. Just to fling the door open and scold her for trying to snoop. When that didn't happen, she sat down at the foot of the door. And rested her head against the wood to wait.
Little did she know that on the other side. Severus was furiously going through her files. The bloody things were charmed. There were pages blank. Ones that looked torn. Some where enchanted. Whenever he thought he was getting somewhere. The pages changed or dissapeared. He growled, angered at the magic placed on the file. Of course it wouldn't have been that easy.
He finally gave up for the night. Grabbing the skull hookah off the floor. Placing it on his desk. And swinging open the door. Viola was half asleep when what she was leaning on was ripped away from her. She fell backwards. Hitting the legs of her husband. She looked up. And he looked confused down.
"Why are you... Still here...?" He heard himself ask outloud before he could stop himself. Viola smiled up. Still half asleep. "Well... You didn't say I had permission to leave." She said softly.
Severus was once again. Unsure how to proceed. What he did get out of the manuel was this. She had been trained to be very loyal. Very obedient. But this has left her without much cause to make her own decisions. He didn't believe it at first but perhaps it wasn't lying when it said she was going to become very dependant on him.
He stepped back. Allowing her to completely fall to the floor. Before stepping around her. "Come." He said. Not sure how else to go about doing this. It felt like he was gifted a pure breed dog, not a wife.
She quickly got up and followed him. Out of the classroom. Down the hall. And back to their dead end appartment at the bottom of the castle. Once they enter. She resumed the position from last night.
Severus upon seeing this groaned. "No. I won't repeat what happened this morning." He looked at her as she kneeled by the fire. Viola looked at him. No she wasn't about to be alone in that room all night. It was.. it was too much of an invitation for other things to happen
