There is a lyric in the song that reminds a lot about Nathan and Kyle from 2i1.

Because in the story, the way Kyle died was suicide. He jumped off a bridge and into the water.

During that time, Nathan was trying his best to prevent Kyle from suicide by reminding him he isn't alone and he has him to vent and rant to, but when he commited suicide... Nathan cried and kept repeating...

"I was right there... you just had to talk to me and I would've been there..."

He felt he could've been there to stop him but he failed.

Now he basically blames himself for Kyle's suicide and for not being a good friend to stop him.

Kyle after dying, felt intense guilt and shame for leaving his best friend behind and for putting him through pain because he was gone.

Kyle now has two reasons to be brought back to the mortal world.

1. To save his kind from goinh extinct.

2. To be there for Nathan like he was for him.

IDK, it just did remind me of that.
