A cool wind swept pass, as the unknown road become soothing and relaxing to her. There was no sound, the silence was relaxing. It looked like one of the roads she and Adnes had took to the sunflower field. She stopped when she saw a small stream. Her feet stopped at the sound of rippling and lapping water. That moment she realised, how she loved her hometown and it's beauty. She had closed her eyes to listen and to loosen up. When she opened them, she couldn't believe what she saw, a firefly! It had been years since she had seen one! She hushed her steps and neared towards it.
"I used to think they come out of children's book." A silky and husky voice said which startled Elara and she turned towards the speaker. Her green orbs met the icy grey ones. Time, felt like it did not exist. All of it felt like a stupid lucid dream, a dream that never felt so fairytale and real at the same time. Elara's heartbeat fastened as the time slowed and died down. She looked at the boy who looked a couple of years older than her, he had dark hairs and was a good few inches taller than she was.
" The beauty is unmatchable." Elara looked away and broke her gaze from the handsome stranger.
" Sure is." He replied still looking at her. No one said anything at all, the silence was so frail and beautiful to be broken.
" Fireflies just like the unicorns, I think are magical. They look so out of world." He further added and sat on the ground and patted the space next to him.
" You have a bright imagination stranger." She commented and let out a chuckle.
" Thank you, sunflower." The stranger too laughed at her comment.
" Sunflower?" She asked confused.
" Your smile, it's as bright as a sunflower, your aura reflects the warmth of the sun." He explained looking at her intensely.
" Why,thank you kind sir. Why are you here so late?" She asked him looking at the firefly who disappeared into the further trees.
" Came to visit my grandmother, she lives in one of those houses." He pointed at the sources of minimal lights. Her house would definitely be gorgeous, as she lived near the nature's heaven.
" Why are you here sunflower?" She blushed at the nickname he gave her.
" I walked here to clear my mind, too many things on plate right now." She said with a heavy sigh.
" You can tell me."
" I don't even know you. What if you kidnap me and then blackmail me?" She argued stupidly.
" You certainly are stressed. Your paranoia will eat you someday," He said silently as he got up and walked off swiftly.
Elara stayed there, all silent and confused. Was it her dream or did he really talk to her? The question flipped through her mind as she walked home, somehow finding the way along the lost roads and street. She got into her bed earlier than she generally would and called it a day. Tomorrow was important, was a topic up for a debate. Elara did not like to socialize as much as her parents or Adnes or even Sebastian. She was in every way, the black sheep of the family. Her parents were kind of jerks who had just focused on themselves, all through Sebastian's and Elara's childhood.
The whole night, in her dreams Elara saw his face, his sharp jawline and those icy grey eyes and his lean yet muscular physique.
The morning came rather slow, when it was close to seven, Elara got up and carried out her daily routine consisting of brushing teeth, showering and dressing up. She suited herself in a blue jeans, a white shirt and a formal coat, pulling off a semi formal look with great ease. She tied her blonde locks in a high ponytail with no makeup. She smiled to herself as she was satisfied by her look.
