" I like this black one better than the one that you wore before. " He said and took a bite of his butterscotch cake and looked at her shamelessly as she blushed and shrugged wiping her mouth clean with a tissue paper. They had gone to her home and while she changed he looked around her not-so-messy room. She apologized for the mess. She had been working hard to make an application software as a sample for a company and still had to complete her homework she hadn't yet done. Archer being the kind and caring person he was, offered to help her at night during the ' Camping with Parents'. Apparently, his parents weren't free like hers so they would be going alone but together.
" So you say you need help in Biology?" He asked her slowly slipping his hand in hers and she blushed again as her heart fluttered.
" Yeah and in chemistry too, Oh and by the way when you weren't in the class today, the I-scream-machine gave us our first project. Not much though, just writing an experiment." She explained. She had finished her Belgium chocolate cake and so had he. They didn't talk much later and just stared at each other.
The waitress came and slammed the check on the table and murmured something inaudible. Archer pulled out cash for both of them but Elara stopped him saying something like 'I can and will pay for my things.' and then gave him a stern look while he surrendered and raised his hands in defeat.
" You're stubborn." He commented as he turned the car to the left heading for school after they had packed their bags for the night, they would stay in school till tomorrow's breakfast and they will have regular school from the fourth period.
" Then you certainly have a bad choice." She retorted while looking at the sun setting. The mild purple shade of the sky, while the sun was setting, had traced on her face. She wore a comfortable black tee and skinny jeans with a coat, while he wore black jeans and a grey polo shirt.
He did not reply instead he chuckled which melted her heart. That moment she knew, it wasn't just attraction, it was something so much more, a sort of connection.
They parked in free space and were amused at the rush. No one thought that this would be taken seriously and almost no students beside them and some others came without their parents, even the bitch-but-a-pretty-face gang brought their parents. As expected they were rich and snobbish. Mellisa kept giving her dirty looks while they were getting their names checked and got settled in. There were parents and their children just rambling to each other and there was a sort of chaos. Considering this time as their best, they decided to sneak off to the library.
The walked with smiles as they crossed the open spaces with tables, a teacher had spotted them
" Hey! Stop you both!" He shouted angrily and started approaching them. Archer grabbed Elara's hand and they ran as fast as they could somehow controlling their laughter. Archer took a sharp right and pulled Elara with him. It was the abandoned staircase and they decided to hide behind the stairs. After some time when they heard no footsteps, they broke into fits of laughter.
" That was awesome!" Elara exclaimed and hugged him. It came to him as a surprise so he stiffened, so she pulled away and looked at him. He did not say a word but just kissed her.
Lips had their conversations as they pleased, just not with words.
" That was fun. I'm sure that the middle school wing would be empty, let's go." He said and she tagged along making their way to where grade eighth studied.
They found an empty classroom at the end of the hallway and made themselves comfortable after switching the lights on.
" So see it's very simple, basically the gender of the child depends on........."
He explained and she jotted down what seemed to be important.
Two hours passed and they had completed both chemistry and biology.
