10. Someone New

Y/N's POV:

I felt like an idiot, Kendall already had a boyfriend and I was just her fucking student. I had leaped out her window in just her sweatpants, my boxers and sneakers. I looked homeless walking the streets like that, shirtless like a douche at 10am. I heard someone call my name. I looked to the side and saw Selena, a sweet girl from my year calling my name, gesturing for me to come. I walked over to her and smiled, trying to look a little decent. "Hey Y/N, are you okay?"

"Yeah I'm alright, a little cold and all but alright"

"I can give you a shirt or something, here come in". I gladly walked into her welcoming house and she led me upstairs to her room. She told me to look in her closet, saying she had some oversized shirts. I found a really cool vintage looking tshirt and she let me wear it. She shyly watched me pull on her shirt and without me even asking, she headed downstairs and came back, handing me a poptart. I thanked her and sat on her bed, eating it. I reached into my pocket but couldn't find my phone, oh fuck I left it at Kendall's house. I saw little polaroid pctures of Selena with another guy on her wall and stood up to observe. "Whose that?", I asked her.

She blushed lightly before answering, "That's my boyfriend, Charlie. He goes to Crestview High across town". I smiled seeing her happiness whilst talking about him and started imagining what it would be like if me and Kendall were actually together. Oh wait fuck no, she had a boyfriend. I really had to get her out my mind. Me and Selena hung out together for a few hours, I even had lunch with her mom and little sister then she drove me home. Before I got out the car I don't know why but I asked if I could have her number. "You were just really fun to hang out with, maybe we could be actual friends. I mean I hope Charlie won't mind or anything".

"Yeah sure, Charlie will be fine with it haha, here you go", knowing I did have my phone she wrote her number on a little post it note and handed it to me. We said our goodbyes and then I got out and headed up the stairs to my house. My parents had friends over for lucnh I guess and although I was dressed like an idiot I knew I had to greet them or my mom would go nuts.

"Hi Mrs Fox, how you doing?"

"Ohh hi Y/N, I'm good and please call me Megan. Also it's no longer Mrs", she said with a subtle wink. I bit my lip and smirked a little. 

Then I turned to my parents, "Hi mom, hi Dad". They greeted me back and invited me to sit down, I sat next to Megan and whilst everyone else talked I discreetly tried to pour myself a glass of white wine. I succeeded and sat back, sipping on the light fruity drink. Soon after my parents began to clear the table, meanwhile Megan and I went outside.

"They're not your clothes aren't they sweetie?", she asked with a little laugh. I chuckled myself and shook my head. "Whose are they?"

"Well..the sweatpants belong to one individual, and the tshirt belongs to another", I say with a little smirk, "It's not what it sounds like though".

She fake gasped, "You naughty naughty boy, now what went wrong?".

"Well I think she has a boyfriend so I left."

"And the other?"

"Just a friend, let me borrow a shirt because I didn't have mine, anyway how are you Ms Fox?"

"I'm good, me and Brian split a couple months ago. I'm enjoying single life".

"Have you had some fun yet then?"

She turned to me with a smirk, "Mehh I can't find someone...fulfilling yet".

I leant closer with a smile, "why, what's your type?"

"Hmm I don't know, tall and handsome. You know I generally like big things..", she says with a wink. My parents were no where to be seen, I put my arm around Megan cautiously.

"Maybe you should invite me over sometime, I could help with..I don't know. You were all talking about doing up your house, I could help", I say with a smirk.

"Hmmm yeah, maybe I'll see you soon then Y/N", she pulled me in for a hug and slowly kissed my cheek. Then she graciously walked away.
