15. Sorry you had to find me

Y/N's POV:

I woke up from what could only be described as a very long nightmare. I was hooked up to different machines and a loud beeping sound kept ringing in my ears. There was no one around. I pulled out the pipes connected to me and sat up. I mean obviously I was in a hospital. I tried walking but my legs were all wobbly, it took a while getting used to it but soon enough I pulled open the curtains and walked out.

I could hear a nurse calling after me but I carried on, I entered what looked like a waiting room and heard some gasps. My mom stood up and ran to me, wrapping her arms around me.

I spent two weeks at home after that, the only people from school I'd seen in person were Hailee, Selena and even Zendaya visited me. Everyone else sent flowers, chocolates and get well soon cards. My mom wouldn't even tell me what happened properly, if I ever asked her it bought her to tears. I knew I had overdosed and spent 3 days in a coma, that was it. I had no details, I remembered it must have been at the park but I don't even know who found me and called the ambulance.

Today was the first day I'd be going back to school ever since and to say I was nervous was an understatement. My mom wouldn't even let me walk, she dropped off me and Hailee and cried again when I was trying to get out of the car. I sighed and hugged her, telling her I was sorry. From the corner of my eye I saw her, she was getting out her car. Our eyes connected for a split second and then she rushed inside. Ofcourse she knew, everyone did.

Me and Hailee entered and I could feel everyone's eyes on us, the principal was waiting for me and I had to go to his office straight away. He said the exact same shit I was expecting, that he wished I was okay now and that the school was there to support me if I ever needed help. Then he moved onto actual education talk, I was allowed to choose a teacher to help me catch up with all the work I'd missed. "Can I work with...miss Jenner?" He nodded and told me to go to her class at lunch. I'm not even sure why I chose her, our last encounter wasn't exactly great but she was still better than any of the other teachers.

It was finally lunch, I was walking the opposite way to everyone else who were going to the cafeteria, they fist pumped me or gave me weird side hugs or just looks. Of course there was the random few who made comments about how they thought I was dead. 

I finally knocked on Kendall's door, and waited for her to let me in. She opened the door and locked it was I had come in. I noticed she was facing the other way on purpose so I slowly turned her around and noticed the tears pouring down her face. I held her face and made her look at me, when she finally did make eye contact she quickly wrapped her arms around my neck, with her face buried in my neck. 

Her tears would not stop, after a good ten minutes she let go of me but still looked me in the eyes. Her eyes scanned my face and then she started crying more. Once again I wrapped my arms around her tightly to make her feel safe. "It was me, I found you" .

I could not believe her. My own tears left my eyes, "I'm so fucking sorry, I'm sorry you had to find me, I'm sorry I did that, I'm sorry for everything before".

I kissed her forehead and leaned my head against hers. I walked her to her desk and made her sit down at her chair. Then I kneeled in front of her and held her hands. I kissed her hands, "I'm sorry". I put my head on her lap and felt her fingers in my hair.

Soon after I got to my feet and so did she, I held her delicate face in my hands and slowly edged closer. Our lips finally connected and any memory of drugs left my mind, as I yearned for her to be closer. 

"Can I come to yours later?" .

Thankfully she nodded without hesitation and hugged me tightly.
