Chapter 3 The Truth

Ellie had no more friends, plus, Lukas had officially decided to go with Tessa Leray, "Can this get any worse?" Ellie thought. Yes it can. Ellie walked into the family bathroom and turns out they forgot to lock the door. And yes you can guess who was in there. Ellie had walked in on Lukas who was kissing Tessa. Ellie yells, " Lukas you jerk! I thought I was going to prom with you but I guess not!!!" Lukas shouts, " How am I the jerk if you were the one that made me change my mind! You have been rude and lazy lately and I feel that I shouldn't go with someone like that!" Ellie runs out sobbing and moping. She went home and sat in her room till it was time for prom. Her mom comes into her room. "Ellie," she says softly, "are you going to the dance?" Ellie reaches out for a hug and her mom notices the ring. She gets scared and screams, " ELLIE! Where did you get that ring!" Umm umm well I-I-I got it at the antique store." She says scared and trembling. Her mom says, " that ring is your grandmothers. When you were a baby, grandma disappeared into the woods and never came back. Her personality did change like yours but all this time I thought you were just going through puberty but it had been the ring all along!" Ellie quickly took off the ring and a flow fell through her body, a flow of relief. The relief was gone and Ellie closed her eyes. When she opened them her mom was gone.
