Ellie didn't know how long she'd been walking for, but it must've been a long time because it started to get dark. She saw a little town ahead. She walked up to a sign that read,
"Welcome to Little America in Wyoming! Exit 324 in 0.5 miles!"
Ellie walked and eventually got to the gas station. She walked up to an employee and asked,
"Hi, what day is it?"
"It's June 28th my darling."
"Thanks, here keep the change."
"Ok! Thank you my dear!"
Ellie had been gone from her home for over 5 months! She had to figure something out fast.
Ellie's birthday was approaching very fast. She didn't want to spend it all alone.
