"MOM! Where did you go!?!?!?" Ellie says panicking, searching the house. Ellie tried calling someone on the phone but for some reason the cell service was off. Ellie immediately went to her car to get some help. She went to Peter Karshins also known as "Detective Pete." He can solve 5% of cases, or at least he thinks. He is the only person Ellie knows that would believe her. She arrives at his house. He is in his front yard moving boxes. She hops out of her car. "Hey Pete," she says, "I have a problem. I closed my eyes for 2 seconds and then my mom was gone." "Sounds like I have a new client" Pete says. Ellie states, " maybe just for this mission" "FINE." He says, let's get in the car." They got in the car. Ellie had the ring in a plastic baggy in the back of her car. Pete wanted some evidence and Ellie thought the ring would be a good clue, so Ellie reached over the seat and got the plastic baggy with the cursed ring in it. When she turned back around Pete was gone.
