The Haunted Ring

Chapter 7 What happened?

Ellie picked up an old dusty red journal. She opened it and started to read. She froze when she came to the 5th page. Apparently, the ring had been in her family for years. Her grandma had been doing experiments with the ring. Flipping to the next page, Ellie found an old photograph of her grandma and another woman. As Ellie looked closer, she noticed it wasn't some random lady, but Lucas's grandma, who she had met at a bake sale once.

She read the page and found out that the same thing happened to her grandma, that had happened to her. Her grandma told Lucas's grandma about the ring, and just before her eyes, she vanished.
As she kept reading, she found out that her grandma had gotten attached to the ring. The journal started to become more of a diary full of hate for the world.
Her grandma has changed her writing to become more and more aggressive.
She got to the 37th page when she came across where her grandma had noticed the change in her self. She wrote

                   "I've started to notice the change that has come upon me. My daughter doesn't talk to me as she has before. I forgot to put on my ring and as I came back from work, my daughter ran to her room, locking the door. I know how to get my best friend Ruth back and get rid of the curse of the ring. It's a risky job, and I can disappear forever. I must go now for tonight is a full moon. I shall return as soon as possible and start a new life"

Ellie turned the page, but there was nothing. Getting frustrated , she threw the book and ran to her bedroom, threw herself on the bed and let her tears run.
After an hour, she sat up and wondered what her grandma was going to do. She remembered that her mom had said that her grandma had gone into the woods and never returned as if she had gone nuts.
She knew where she had to go next for more answers.
