They made it through the portal, and back home. Kennlyn the cat was at the front door.
"I thank you, fellow ones. I am grateful that you got me out of that grey city. Now, it is my time to find my home. Thank you. I will come visit, I promise." She walked out the front door and scurried off. Ellie went up to her room. She was researching the way they thought they could get their friends and family back when she figured out the true way, or at least she thought.
"No way! This can't be!"
"What is it hun?" Felipé asked.
"I know how to get them back! Get everyone in the living room!"
They all met in the living room.
"Form a circle holding hands," Ellie said, "Then, do as I do."
They formed a circle and held hands. Ellie started to close her eyes and chant,

"For those who have been my life, helping me each day, those who I cared of, who disappeared. I will set you free, the power and magic of the ring isn't as strong as one simple thing, our friendships and love will never be forgotten, I set you free, please, listen to this, and be freed by a loving one, who cares about you and where you have gone."

They cchanted for many hours, repeatedly saying the chant. Nothing happened.
"What a waste of time!" Amie yelled. "I thought you knew, Ellie. You wasted our time!"
"Amie!" Felipé yelled. "Do not speak to her that way! She tried! She is only a teenager! You and I couldn't do that good now! One more yell out from you Amie, getting mad at Ellie, you are out, you'll pack your bags and leave!"
"But- I,"
"NO! You will not bicker with me!"
Felipé stormed off leaving Ellie and Amie alone in the living room.
"I'm sorry Amie. I really thought it would work."
"Well it didn't, what were you thinking!"
"Amie, what have I done to you!?"
Amie walked off, Ellie was mad, and Felipé was annoyed. This isn't going to help their case.
"I'm so stupid, I should've never even bought the ring in the first place!"
Ellie went upstairs and lay on her bed, crying. Knowing she messed up. Thinking, she'll never see her mom again, or Peter, Tessa, Lukas, her grandma. Knowing, that life will never be the same.
Ellie cried into her pillow, thinking that she was the worst person in the world, her mistake was awful, all her fault that this all happened. She especially thought, that she was the real blame for making everyone fight. Telling herself, that she'd never forgive herself. She looked at the ring. She took it off her nightstand and threw it across the room. The window was open. The ring flew out the window. Ellie hoped the ring would never come back.
