Project Nagini

Part 1

"Nagini," called Kabuto through her wall, a young male with glasses and gray hair, "Lord Orochimaru is calling you."

"Why should I," snapped Nagini. Nagini was a girl with wild, flaming red hair and suffocating black eyes. She was about five feet tall, and 13 years old. She had inherited her red hair from her mother, Kushina Uzumaki, and her black eyes from her father, Fugaku Uchiha. Orochimaru made her in a lab using their DNA to help him achieve his dream. His dream was to learn all the Jutsu and destroy the Village Hidden in the Leaves. Furthermore, she also had the rare Sharingan, a Kekkei Genkai that only people from the Uchiha clan have; Kokuo, a tailed beast sealed inside her; and a Heaven Curse Mark that was given to her by Orochimaru when she was seven, she would never forget that pain. Nagini's life had only consisted of training and being locked in her room, and she was unstable from lack of sleep and nightmares. In fact, she was so wild that Orochimaru had to bind her with chains and put three locks on her door. She would kill emotionlessly.

"Don't make things difficult on you, you know what will happen if you refuse to obey Lord Orochimaru. He can use that curse mark of yours to cause you severe pain, or worse," sneered Kabuto.

"Fine," shouted Nagini, "I'll come, but only because I have to."

"That's more like it," smirked Kabuto as he started to unlock one of the three locks that were placed on her door. For several minutes, only the clicks and clacks of Kabuto prying at the locks filled the room, then the door snapped open.

"Come on then, you don't want to keep Lord Orochimaru waiting, do you?" asked Kabuto grabbing one of Nagini's chains and dragging her forward. Nagini said nothing but in her head, she vowed to get out of captivity.

Only the sound of their footsteps filled the empty hallways. They passed countless doors until they finally stopped in front of an old, worn-out brown door and step inside.

"I've been waiting for you, Nagini my child," called Orochimaru.

"Don't call me a child, or you'll regret it!" snapped Nagini, regretting it when Kabuto tightened her chains.

"My my, as feisty as ever I see," sneered Orochimaru. Nagini bit her lip so hard that blood droplets fell onto the floor as she resisted the urge to snap. "Well, you see, I have a mission for you. We will go to attack the Village Hidden in the Leaves soon, and I need your help. You will attend the Chunin Exams as an Exchange Student from the Sound Village, but join a team from the leaf village."

"And why would I do that?" asked Nagini, venom lacing into her words.

"The team has your brothers in it," said Orochimaru, smiling as she gasped, "Yes, your brothers Naruto Uzumaki and Sasuke Uchiha."

Nagini was silent. Her whole life she had yearned to find her brothers, to talk to them, meet them, but now that her head was filled with the prospect of meeting them, she left nervous, afraid. She felt like everything was frozen, even time itself, and it was hard to breathe when time was frozen. She took in deep breaths, trying to calm herself, but it wouldn't work, and she started to feel lightheaded. She was dimly aware of collapsing, of Orochimaru's wicked laughs, because the moment she had been waiting for, lived for, was going to happen at last.

"Yes, you are going to meet your long lost brothers at last, and you're going to help me claim one of them," cackled Orochimaru as Nagini scrambled to stand up, "The one named Sasuke Uchiha, I will meet him in the second stage and place a curse mark upon him. Your objective in this mission is helping him through the Chunin exam and the Curse Mark with that medical ninjutsu of yours and passing the exam. Once you pass, you will become a leaf Chunin and become a spy for me. Is that clear?"

Nagini nodded and slowly stumbled back to her room before Orochimaru or Kabuto could say anything else, and fell into a restless sleep filled with tossing and turning, for tomorrow she was going to set out of the Leaf Village to meet her family.
