Project Nagini

Part 10

"Finally! We're staring the preliminaries for the third round!" whispered Naruto in Nagini's ear as her eyes fluttered open. "First it's Sasuke's turn!"

Slowly, Nagini stood up and Naruto caught her when she started to feel woozy from the blood rush. Nagini saw Sakura staring at Sasuke, a worried expression on her face.

What's up with her? Thought Nagini. But her question was answered when she sensed a wicked chakra from Sasuke. Wait, that's the curse mark... no... Orochimaru didn't. 

She felt her own mark act up when she looked at him directly. 

Once the battle was over, she felt relief, since the mark wasn't bugging her anymore. Nagini sighed.

"Yeah! Good job Sasuke!" shouted out Naruto and Sakura.

Nagini heard Ino yell, "I knew he would win!"

She saw Naruto win, Hinata lose, Sakura and Ino tie out, and Shino win. Next, it was her turn.

Finally thought Nagini.

She was going to fight a person named Aoi.

"Ready to lose?" Aoi smirked.

"You mean win right?" smirked Nagini back.

"Begin!" said the proctor, slicing his hand between Nagini and Aoi.

Nagini and Aoi both jumped back, and after a second, Aoi dived towards Nagini, and she dodged just in time. So fast... Nagini thought.

Nagini got hit, but she had jumped back enough to deflect the blow. Wiping her face, she charged towards Aoi, twirling a kunai between her fingers. Aoi brought one out to. Nagini managed to dodge it this time, but Aoi got hit. Nagini smiled as she heard him grunt.

"Not so tough now are you?" she asked as they clashed once again.

"I'm tougher than you," retorted Aoi, even though he was sweating.

"Time to get this over with," grinned Nagini when she saw Aoi tense.

Nagini grabbed the hilt of her silver sword and slashed the sword outwards while infusing it with Chakra. She dove towards Aoi yelling. Aoi prepared to dodge, but what he didn't know was that Nagini was going to slash her sword in thin air to release the Chakra. He screamed as he was struck, and crashed into the wall.

Smirking, Nagini kept on slashing and slashing, until she was shaking with exhaustion. Little did she know, that Aoi had dodged the mot severe slashes, and could still fight.

Enraged, Nagini, and Aoi clashed. 

"I'm not that good at this, but it might be my only chance," muttered Aoi as he grabbed out a scroll from his pouch.

What trick does he have up his sleeve this time? thought Nagini as she stopped. I nearly used up all my Chakra, I need to wrap this up quickly...

"Let's see how you can defend yourself with this!" shouted Aoi, and needles came flying down from the scroll.

Grunting, Nagini raised her arms over her head to cover it. She screamed as the needles struck their mark. Growling, Nagini dove towards Aoi and they had a taijutsu match.

Punches and kicks flew around, and the air was filled with grunting noises. Eventually, they both collapsed. After a minute or two, when the proctor was about to announce the match over, Nagini shakily stood up.

"Wait! This match isn't over yet!" Nagini said, stumbling towards Aoi, and punching him in the stomach. The only thought that filled her head was that she won as she hobbled up the stairs.
