Ashton's P.O.V

My eyes slowly opened, to start with everything was blurry, I couldn't see a thing. After a couple of seconds, they adjusted to the bright lighting and I could just about make out my surroundings. I was lying down in a bed with a few minor injuries, that's what I guessed anyway nothing felt out of place or had a non-stop ache. My mind switched to Katie. Oh my fucking god. She was on the side closest to wear the car hit. What if she's seriously hurt? What if she can't remember anything or anyone? What if she's..? All of a sudden I felt my temples thumping, my heart rate was barely noticeable; the last thing I heard were nurses shouting "We need help in here!".

Two Days Later: Nurse P.O.V

As I went to grab to my bag and go home after a long 12 hour shift, in walked a tall lady aged between 50-55 with a long, red, office style coat and red lipstick to match.
"Can I help you ma'am?" I said with caution, I could tell by the sadness in her eyes that she was here for him. I've never seen her face before.
"My son..he.." she said with flustered tone yet little expression on her face. I placed my hand on top of hers, gave her a reassuring look and lead her to room 18- a small side room for patients needing extra care. I closed the door behind me but I could hear her muffled crying into his lap.
"Please keep an eye on him" I said to my colleague. "Be on top of all of his medications, his charts-"
"I know this is hard for you Katie but please go and get some rest" she said assuringly.
It's been 5 years and I'll never ever stop trying.
