I stepped out of the car reluctantly and gave Michael a worried stare. "It's okay" he assured. He then took my hand into his and walked to the opening of the abandoned warehouse. I looked around me and all I could see was fields. Fields and more fucking fields. I looked over at Michael but he didn't look scared at all, personally I think it was just act, I knew he was a little on edge.
The door creaked open. There was no one standing there- not even a shadow. Michael started to walk in and pulled me along with him. "What the hell" I whispered whilst looking around. I was starting to freak out. He put his fingers on my lips and gave me a reassuring look but how was I supposed to trust anyone is this situation? My heart was beating so fast that I couldn't count.
Every step I took I began feeling more and more anxious. The floorboard creaked from underneath us which left me startled and made Michael get a firmer grip on my hand. All of a sudden there was a cackling laugh that came from beneath us which certainly wasn't Ashton's. Then a door floor open. A blinding light shone from it therefore I let go of Michael's hand and ran over.
There were stairs leading down to cellar so I did the obvious thing. As I walked down the steps I noticed the damp walls, the hanging cobwebs- which may I add were extremely creepy and. Oh my god. In the corner of the room Ashton was tied to chair with duct tape over his mouth. His eyes were drowsy, the permanent bandana that would be in his hair had disappeared and there was blood oozing out of his leg and left a stain on his trousers.
It honestly broke my heart. The fact that he was in such a poor condition pained me. My eyes then fixed on the three people that were responsible. Standing behind the chair with the most evil look in their eyes was Luke- my horrible brother who I've never really took a liking to, Calum- he used to be nice but it's like someone had cast a spell on him. My lips formed into an 'o' shape when I saw the final person.
Michael. He had a smirk plastered on his face. "Michael?" I said in a tone that was barely audible. "I'm sorry pretty girl" he sneered. "What he means to say is that he's been faking your friendship the whole time. He's been helping us all along" Calum said. I took a step back feeling out of my depth. "There's no where you can run now Katie".
