Alucard had risen and was sitting on his throne, deep in thought. Angelica was something more. She had woken from a deep sleep to be prepared to attack. She had rearranged the room to make it better prepared for an attack. And those symbols, she had learned warding magic. She was no gun toting mercenary like he had thought at first.
He then smirked, what a bold one she is.
She knows I'm powerful and not to be fucked with then she kicks my head as a last statement of defiance! Angel would have been dead any other time but it was forbidden to do anything to the woman. Did she fool me with her politeness in the exercise room, by calling me Master Elder vampire? No human had ever addressed him with such a title.
Such a delight of contraries...
How had she known he had been in the corner of the exercising room?
He had seen her scan and then settle on his spot. Miss Black had seen something of his power. Alucard decided he really needed to get answers. She was borderline too fast for a human to move. Angelica was the first to hit him, with the amount of bullets that tore him to pieces. She was oh so confident in herself.
Hadn't Master said she was a sole survivor of a vampire attack? Except for the old scar on the arm, she had no signs of a battle with a vampire recently.
The No Life King's went to carnal thoughts. He had been from another time and she was ugly to those standards. He actually found her absolutely mesmerizing. The young woman would have been perfect to have taken to war. She was a capable fighter and then to have the pleasure of bedding her every night.
Alucard sensed her back at the manor, walking with Bernadotte. That Frenchman was such a wretch. He had better keep his hands off of her!
Mine!
Then a look crossed his face, where did that come from? He didn't just want to play, as he did with Lucy. He was going to possess Angelica's mind, body and soul.
"Perhaps I can catch her in the library or the kitchen?" as a maniacal laugh left the Vampire's lips.
Alucard phased to where the kitchen was at. He could use the excuse he needed a little extra blood. He had his sunglasses on and walked a stroll only the No Life King could pull. It was like looking at a panther, if it could walk on two legs. He turned a corner to enter the kitchen, Pip and some of the Wild Geese jumped when he entered. He gave them a predatory smile only monsters like vampires and turned to find the young woman of his fascination ...was pointing two desert eagles at him. She let out a couple of pants of breath but it was the kind of breath that would then intake a deep breath and fire. Her back was to the blood refrigerator.
"Weapon smith I need in to there. I'm still hungry.."
Angelica started to turn her head to side like she was trying to look at him from another angle. She tucked her guns in her waist band and opened the door with her left hand. She never turned her back on him. He heard her feeling around and then grabbed several blood packets. Angel pulled her hand out and slammed the refrigerator door with her left foot. Her arm swung up and tossed the packs to Alucard. He effortlessly snatched the blood packets with the grace that vampires love to show off.
"Good evening Master Elder vampire, I trust your rest was not interrupted..."
She still kept eye contact with the vampire instead of lowering her eyes.
'Good girl, never take your eyes off of me,' he thought.
It was at that point Pip stepped behind her and was touching her back.
Pip whispered in Angelica's ear, " I will get you some dinner, head down now."
Angelica didn't need to be told twice. As Alucard blocked part of the doorway, she turned her back to the door frame and stood straight up as much as she could. She had almost gotten past without getting touched by the Vampire King. The Vampire just followed her with his eyes and licked his lips. Alucard shifted a little and his chest skimmed across her chest, barely touching. She took a deep intake of air, her eyes looked into his as to say, I'm not afraid of you.
Once she was past, she briskly walked to her room. She hoped Alucard would stay in the kitchen and terrorized the Wild Geese. She was really starting to regret coming to Hellsing. The Master Elder vampire was up to something but she couldn't get an idea of what it was. Perhaps if she was able to touch something he touched, then she could do psychometry?
Angelica took a detour and headed for the library, surely there was something he would have touched. She skimmed some books he might have had an interest in. There were plenty she would borrow but not one he would have read. She turned to see a chess set on a side table. It looked to be old.
She smiled and thought of such a bad clique, some vampires loved to play chess as they were players before they were changed. She saw the box that the pieces would have been stored in. She stuffed the pieces in and ducked out the door of the library...to run right into Alucard, or more to say Alucard's chest.
Alucard heard Angelica's breath come in hitches. She looked up with a pale face and fumbled the words, "Forgive my rudeness, Master vampire, I will be more attentive to not get in your way again."
She quickly looked down and walked fast to the stairwell that would take her down to her room. Her feet stepped down the stairs and sounded deafening to Angelica. She whipped the door open and slammed it shut. A huge breath left her mouth, and then she sucked another in.
"It's only been two days, he will grow tired of me, hopefully. Or I guess I will be calling Bubba..." Saying that, she smiled.
She set the chess set on the bed and started to put her clothes away. She giggled looking at the nightie. Pip was obviously a player. He had gotten the size right on. She stripped and put on a crop top and black spandex shorts. She had even taken her gloves off. That was her standard, when not sure what to wear.
There was a knock at the door. She smiled again and figured it was Pip with her food. Angelica swung the door open, not thinking, to see a tall vampire holding a tray of food. She had the nightie in her hands and pulled it up to hide her front as it would cover from chest to her mid thigh. Her thoughts were scrambled and she was starting to panic.
Too close, way too close....get away went through her mind.
Alucard slipped into her mind to hear her thoughts and then he was pushed back out. The symbols were keeping him away from her mind now. Those symbols seriously needed to be gone!
He raised the platter to entice her to grab it. She took the hint and did but in her hurry to get the platter, her hands touched the No Life King's ones. His hands were not wearing his gloves. The Vampire's pale white hands were cool, not cold to the touch.
"Thank you Vampire King..." Angelica squeaked and slammed the door in his face.
The No Life King just started to chuckle loudly, outside the door. Angelica was going to be a long term treat! She was confident but quite cautious at the same time.
Perhaps even on the paranoid side?
What other supernatural occurrences had she faced?
She was like a good book, each chapter was going to hold his interest. A frown did cross his face, when he remembered she took the chess set from the library.
