Alucard portaled in and was yelling about Angelica being injured and needed help in the manor hospital. Integra walked out of her office followed by Walter. They had been having tea and talking when they heard Alucard yelling, which is quite painful in certain circumstances

"Alucard! What the hell did you? I told you she's not a toy you can break!" yelled Sir Integra

As Alucard turned the corner, he growled, a growl only vampires can do. "I stopped a freak from pulling her into a mirror."

"You know I'm still conscious, well sorta..."

Angelica moaned from the lights in the hospital ward. She had a concussion and a dislocated shoulder. There were shallow claw marks on each side down her ribs. The doctor reassured Alucard, they were minor, while the Vampire had him by the throat.

Pip charged in the ward and asked worried, "Angelica what happened?"

"I will have to read more on it but Alucard found a female body. See if there are any missing women last seen at that place. It's been there awhile. Note the time and the moon, to see if those are markers that caused the creature to attack..." her voice trailed off.

"Sorry can't think anymore, except Thank you Alucard," and she reached her right hand out to touch his hand.

He frowned and phased through the floor. He was going to his room to think about what had just happened tonight. What had happened to Angelica and her responses. Bernadotte and the other humans would have become food. She fought hard.

What else has she witnessed in her two and half years?

The doctor sedated her but she still fought going to sleep. In a lucid state her mind felt heavy.

~Can't sleep...something's coming, something's coming... I can't see it, where is it... something's coming!~

Angelica let a scream out like a child who had just seen the horrors of war. She bolted out of the bed and stumbled down the hall as fast as she could. She found the painting that led to Alucard's room. In her rush, she tripped and tumbled down the stairs. Her head made a loud thump against Alucard's door.

"Alucard!! Please let me come in!"

~Something's coming, something's coming, you don't see me but I see you! I'm coming, oh I'm coming for you!!~

"AALLUUCCAARRDD!!!"

Alucard found her starting to hyperventilate and her eyes rolling around in her eye sockets then up into her head. The No Life King stepped into the hall and grabbed her. He set her on the bed he had in his room. Why Alucard needed a bed when he had a coffin but perhaps a tiny remnant of being human.

The No Life King wondered what got her in this state?

She was so calm earlier...

She was now in a state of drooling and her hair was stuck in her mouth. Alucard sat on the bed and started to pull the hair out her mouth, one strand at a time. There was a layer of cold sweat on her body from running. Her body jerked when he touched the sweat on her head.

Why had Angelica come to him?

This was twice in one night she had called his name. She made it very clear on vampires. Alucard remembered the three vampires she had met. She should have died that night in Texas. He in fact knew the head one as that vampire was created by him.

He removed his glove to stroke her chin with a finger. He bent over and smelled her scent. She looked good and smelled good. His fangs grew long and he ran his fingernail down her neck.

Surely he could have a few drops of blood?

He would find out if she tasted good, even if not a virgin. His nail went to draw a small cut along her shoulder and the nail dragged but didn't open her skin up. He went to her upper arm and applied a little more strength. The nail dragged but didn't cut her skin.

At this point Alucard wasn't sure if he was more frustrated that he was being denied her blood or the question of why his nails hadn't cut her flesh. As he went to run the fingernail down her arm again. Her eyes flew open and she was sliding quickly off the bed. Her breath was coming in quick pants and she was darting here and there. Angelica rushed to find the door.

~ No one was going to save me!

~Why did I run to the Vampire King?

~ Did I prefer to die at the hand of a beautiful monster standing in front of me?

~Instead of the one I couldn't see but knew was there?

Her mind started to roll. She just wanted to be safe for one night and sleep without worry. When she got to his throne she stopped and started to form gestures with her hands then say words Alucard could not understand.

She slowly turned to face him while holding a red and orange flaming ball. He could feel the heat coming off the ball from where he stood, about ten feet away. Angelica just kept rolling the ball as it started to become brighter looking at the Vampire. She then pulled her hand back and speed balled the fireball right at Alucard's chest. Her aim was a little high and the fire ball struck him up on the collarbone area.

Alucard saw that in fact he was on fire. He summoned his tendrils to put the fire out and looked up. She was gone, as the door was still open to his room. He went straight up and through the floor, phasing. He was half the hall away from Angelica. She had reached the hall too. The scared young woman was looking left then right and then she spotted Alucard.

"Stay away Alucard, just go away or I will create another..." She started to sway and gesture again with her voice almost singing the words. She spread her fingers as fire started to form. Then her hands started the rolling motion to form the fireball.

"Alucard what the hell is going on?" yelled Sir Hellsing. The Iron Maiden turned to see her new weaponsmith rolling a ball of fire in her fingers.

"Sir Hellsing, call your master vampire off, so I can dispel this or I will burn this place down to the ground to make sure he's dead," her hair lightly blew as the heat of the fire ball heated the air.

"Servant leave now! Go to your room now!" yelled Sir Hellsing at the Vampire.

Alucard turned to bare his teeth at his Master. He didn't want to go, not yet.

"Alucard..."

He turned around now and bowed to his master. With that he phased to his room again. He shut his door only to find a symbol on the door. If he had wanted to go through the door, it would hurt him to touch the door. He looked down and touched his collarbone, his body was just finishing up healing. The fire had delayed his healing ability.

A human that could kill him! He laughed so hard and long, that his voice echoed through the manor..

"Well that's not good," Walter replied dryly.
