How fascinating...

"Some elder vampire lost his female pet," the man chuckled. "I therefore need to find this little darling and take her for myself. To escape such a powerful vampire begs the question about you, my dear..."

Angel was still upset and confused about her importance. With a long sigh, she began to paddle the canoe. She began saying it over and over...

'I'm returning now, All Father...'

She fel5 his mind bump hers. Angelica knee Alucard wss not amused so he gave her mind, a 'telepathy nudge'. It was a reassurance to both, you are safe but for All Father, it was a first.

About half an hour later, paddling quickly, she saw Alucard in his black straight jacket. It wss the second time but she couldn't get over how young, he looks. At first she could see his eyes burn a red color, that most vampires do. Then as the canoe came to a stop, his eyes returned to his storm swirling red, orange and a hint of yellow.

"I'm here..."she spoke softly.

Angelica managed to get her belongings out of the canoe, before Alucard put his fist through the bottom, then threw the canoe like skipping a stone into the water.

"Alucard you know that comes out of my personal money," she sighed.

"Then stop doing stupid shit," he hissed. "You don't know what is in that lake!"

"What?"

"You heard me just fine for a human," he growled now.

"Oh there's like a lake monster?" She replied, shaking her head.

"There is a presence in the deepest part of the lake and this vast amount of water prevents me from keeping you safe," Alucard sighed.

"Okay, I will try not to do a woman's 'typical storm off' when upset..." she gave him a small smile, like a kid with a hand in the cookie jar. "How did I hear your call?"

"You are sensitive to the supernatural," he advanced until his body touched hers. "Sigils were at first, but our time spent together and bonding in other ways, had produced a strong unbreakable bond to each other."

"Alucard?" Angel looked into his molten stormy eyes. "What will happen to me when you leave in six months?"

"You will come back to Hellsing..." he said matter of fact.

"But if I don't want to be at Hellsing then what?" her eyes searched for a nonverbal cue.

"It will become painful gradually at first," he tilted his head. "Then it becomes quite painful for a human, even as special as you are..."

"You tricked me? Seriously?!"

"You did that all on your own, between the Hellsing sigil and our bond from intimacy, in your city of New Orleans..." he ran a finger across her right cheek. "Whether you like it or not, we are inseparable...only periods of separation time is healthy."

"Does it hurt you?" Angelica inquired.

Alucard nodded his head slowly. "I, being a vampire, it's a dull ache you cannot quite locate."

"And me?" She was now getting worried.

"You go into a forced type of sleep," his fingers caressed her hair. "It's so you stop 'wandering' until I can locate you."

"So I get hit with pain then the longer away and I collapse in a heap, sound asleep?" Angelica batted his hand away.

"No, your body will go somewhere safe and then slumber, like a corpse," Vampire King responded. "Your heart rate and breathing will slow as much as possible. You will no longer carry a scent to alert other creatures. You will appear dead like..."
