Ricky and i had been doing homework for the last two hours. I closed my laptop and laid down on the couch. "I'm done, this is so draining."
Ricky chuckled. "Take a break then."
I stood up. "I'm gonna get a drink do you want one?" he shook his head. I walked into the kitchen. Mom was cooking dinner. I poured myself a glass of water. "What are you making?"
"Lasagna," she answered. "How's studying going?"
"Good. boring, but good."
"Dinner is almost ready so try to get a few more minutes of studying in."
"Okay." i walked back out to the living room. Ricky had his phone to his ear listening to something. He looked at me and put his phone away. "Who was that?"
"Don't worry about it."
"Mom said dinner is almost ready."
"Okay well i'm gonna bring my things upstairs and i'll be back down in a little bit."
I nodded. He grabbed his things and walked upstairs. I sat down on the couch opening my laptop again. I worked on my homework for another twenty minutes. Mom walked into the living room. "Will you go get the boys and tell them dinner is ready?" i nodded.
I walked upstairs. I knocked on Luke's door. "Yeah?"
"Dinner's ready."
"Okay, i'll be down in a minute."
I walked over to Ricky's door. I knocked on his door. "Ricky?" i asked. He didn't answer me. I knocked again. "Ricky? It's time for dinner," I said opening his door. I couldn't see him so I walked in. He wasn't in his room but the bathroom door was open. I screamed when I saw him on the floor. "Ricky?" I ran over to him. He was bleeding from his wrists. "MOM!" I screamed quickly putting pressure on his wrists. "LUKE! MOM!"
They ran into the room and into the bathroom. "Shit," said mom throwing herself to the ground next to me. "Luke call 911 now."
Luke started talking on the phone as mom grabbed towels. She wrapped his wrists tightly. "Ricky stay with me," I cried.
"Leia i need you to keep pressure on his wrist," ordered mom as she gripped his other wrist. I did as she told me holding his wrist as tight as i could.
"Mommy," i cried.
"I know baby just take a deep breath, the ambulance should be here soon. Keep talking to him, it'll help."
"Ricky baby, stay with me," i whimpered. "You're gonna be okay. Don't go, please don't go." i couldn't stop myself from crying. "I should've known something was wrong, this is all my fault."
"Leia, it is not your fault," said mom. We could finally hear the sirens. Luke ran back upstairs with the paramedics. "Leia let go," said mom putting her hands over mine. I took them away. She held his wrists tightly. The paramedics put Ricky on a gurney and mom ran alongside them. "Luke, meet me at the hospital."
I was still crying. Luke kneeled down in front of me. "Leia, we gotta go. I need you to calm down so we can go can you do that?" i was crying even harder now. "Fuck, i'll be right back."
He walked out of the bathroom. I brought my knees up to my chest and wrapped my arms around them. He came back in with Nick. Nick pushed past him and fell to the ground next to me. "What happened?"
"We don't have time for that, just grab her and let's go."
Nick picked me up bridal style. They quickly left the house and got into the car. Nick held me in his lap holding me close to him while Luke sped to the hospital. I cried into Nick's chest. "Shh baby it's okay," he whispered. "What the hell is happening?"
