MACIE STUFFED THE SHOT GUN UNDER THE BACK SEATS SO HER FAMILY WOULDN'T FIND THEM.
After shutting the car door, she walked back inside the station, "And we found some more at Gilbert's farm." Powell stated as she entered the room.
Jim made a mark on the map pinned on the wall in front of him before turning and giving her a nod. Macie gave him a small smile before taking off her coat,
"Some real nasty stuff." Callahan commented, "It was sticky."
"All right, where else?" Jim asked as Macie jumped up to sit on Powell's desk.
Powell closed his book, "That was it, Chief."
"That was it or you get tired of looking?"
Callahan opened his mouth to answer but Powell beat him to it, "It was getting dark."
"I mean, it was really dark." Callahan mumbled,
Macie smirked, "You know, there's this really cool invention that lets you see at night." She leaned forward, "They're called flashlights." She said in a hushed voice,
"Weren't you taking the day off?" Powell narrowed his eyes,
"Let's face it, you guys wouldn't last two hours without me." Macie sat back and stared at the map that was on the pin board. She tilted her head to the side.
It kinda reminded her of a dot-to-dot.
She slid off the desk and stood next to Hopper, "What is it?" He asked,
Macie took the map off the board and placed it flat on the desk, "Pen." She held out her hand and Jim handed her a red pen.
She took the cap off and carefully drew three circles, connected each 'x' together.
And in the middle? Some building.
But there was clearly a pattern and that building had something to do with it.
"You're a genius." Jim muttered from right behind her and her hair stood on the back of her neck,
"Why?" Macie looked up at him, "What's there?" She pointed at the building with her pen,
Hopper reached around her and grabbed the map from the desk before rushing over to the coat rack,
"Chief, where you going?" Powell asked as Jim grabbed his hat and jacket, taking his keys out of his pocket,
"Jim!" Macie rushed out the door after him.
Hopper got into the driver's seat and slammed the door behind him as Macie grabbed onto it, "What about back up?" She asked,
He looked over at her, "Like you said, those two dipshits in there won't last two hours without you. I'll be back."
Macie nodded and took a few steps back, "There'll be hell to pay if you don't, Chief."
He gave her a short nod before pulling out of the parking lot and speeding off. Macie walked back into the station and Callahan and Powell watched her,
"What?" She narrowed her eyes at them before sitting at her desk. The phone rang and she sighed, "Thank god. Hawkins Police Department, how may I help you?"
