Chasing TROUBLE

Iblis POV

Me and Asti decided to check on the rumors of a so-called 'Night Parade'. According to them it's a group of Demons, Nephilim and sometimes humans with inborn sight traveling around the world.
Maybe Rin is there too.
It would give him a good cover.

There have only been few and far between tracks we could use to find him, so it's obvious we would check anything possible in Assiah (as red & blue flames would've been plain obvious in Gehenna).

So, following the route they apparently traveled from the rumors, we could pin it down to a few. Then, after we consulted some other demons from the area, decided we had the right track.

We followed it into a thick forest. There were many scents of different demons and few, when concentrating, could be identified as humane; meaning the group has more demons than humans or Nephilim.... A higher-rank would need to be there to keep them under control...
"Iblis" Asti called.
I turned towards my younger brother who was running next to me.

He wasn't in that meatsack Shiratori's body but they almost looked like identical twins. Sometimes human genetics are weird like that to the point that even Lucifer questions them and Egyn still studies them. Though they are more comfortable as they fit us perfectly. Mine always changes genders, Egyns too.
But I can go to Assiah in my own body no prob, so why bother with the wrong appendages?

"What should we do we do if we do end up finding him? He isn't exactly fond of us, me even less than you." I could sense his uncertainty in waves and they increased upon the last part.

Rolling my eyes and placing a hand on his shoulder I stopped him, then turned him around to face me: "C'mon, were only here to check up on them, like responsible Demon Kings <he snorted, can't blame him for that, after all Samael's kin are on their own>, so we gotta check if they can live together, cause too much trouble and/or bring them to Lucifer....

....if He is there we're gonna try interacting at a distance.
You along with Amai may need to apologise though seeing how his temper rivals Father's.
Samael is gonna beg for it, if I know Father's opinion on the matter. Personally I'm looking forward to that sight!"
He nodded, a slight smirk breaking out on his face at the imagine of Samael begging for something from one of his 'toys'. We reached a river and a torn-up shirt laid near it. Asti took a sniff and his pupils slightly dilated before constricting again "Smells like him alright".

I then told the family that 'Yes. Rin is traveling with the Night Parade or was here' to which I felt some relief from the E-link as well as a warning from Father, Lucifer and surprisingly Amai to 'be careful'. You could tell the others and Asti were equally surprised at Amai. When was the last time those 3 agreed on something?

With Amai being with Samael for such a long time... +1000years.
Well, at least he didn't loose his honesty or bluntness around a born trickster. Then again time is tricky. And he always late.

I wonder if there's a connection?
I should bring it up with Father!

Though the scent disappeared in the river surely after. Damn.

So we decided to check the other way from where the scent leaves the river. Deeper into the woods and into a darker area of the forest.

Should've taken Amai along. He could've found Rin just fine with 'Eaths Mind'. Something like reading the grounds memories as waves on the ground moving... Seismic? It was too weird a word to remember. Damn you Lucifer, I'm not someone that fights with a Dictionary!... Well Amai would've found his way anyhow as he connected to the earth and stuff. Hence why he doesn't get lost no matter where he goes.
