He and Tammy led us to a door that was to the far end of the community. We all went through it and found ourselves heading straight for the cornfield.

"We gotta find her," Kelly said.

"We will," I assured her.

I stood still to see if I could hear the baby crying. The baby's cry came from my right side so that's where I headed.

"Nat," Daryl called after me.

"She's this way."

With each step I took, the cries of the baby got louder. It didn't take long to find Connie fighting off the dead. I was about to head over to help when I realized I didn't have any sort of weapon with me.

"Daryl," I said, turning to see where he was.

"I'm on it."

He put a knife through the walker's skull that had gotten a hold of Connie's arm.

"Come on," he told her.

I moved out of the way so Kelly could make sure her sister was okay. The moans and the groans were heard from a distance. I headed to the sound of them. I walked until I had reached the edge of the field. I was a few feet away from Alpha. I watched as she stood there waiting to have her daughter back with her. The anger that I kept because of her suddenly took over me. I took one step toward her and the others but Daryl was quick to pull me back.

"What the hell are you thinking?"

"She's right there. I can take her out, Daryl."

"You ain't got nothing to kill her with. Going over there would be suicide. Besides, you would make things worse. We're going back, now. Come on," he said, taking a hold of my arm and leading me back the way we came.

I quickly moved my arm away from his grip.

"Don't you ever grab me like that again."

I pushed my way past him and headed back to the community.

When we had gotten back to the community, Connie and Kelly were embracing each other while Tammy and Earl had the baby. They were both trying their best to calm him down. I couldn't help but feel relieved that they had gotten the baby to safety. My eyes then caught sight of Lydia. They had found her and they were gonna have to give her up. Her eyes caught mine and I found myself making my way to her. I wrapped my arms around her and held her there for a bit.

"I'm so sorry about this."

We parted and she looked at me.

"It's okay. I have to do this," she said.

"You don't. You know you don't. But you're doing this because it's the right thing to do. And that's why you'll never be like her."

"Thanks, Nat."

I hugged her once more before Daryl came up behind us.

"I gotta take her," he said.

I moved out of the way and watched as he led her to the gates.

"This is wrong," Henry whispered.

I patted him on the arm.

"I know it is, kid."

"So then why don't we do something about it?"

"That'll start something that I'm sure will involve a lot of casualties. I don't want that. I've witnessed enough of that. Is that what you want?"

He thought for a second.

"No. I've witnessed a lot of that too. I won't be able to live with this though."
