That bitch. What the hell was she doing here? She was breaking her own rules and that was not going to go well with the others.

"Our community is more than capable of defending itself," Tara said.

"I show you my face because we mean you no harm."

"A load of bullshit," I muttered, crossing my arms.

"I just want my daughter. I know you have her."

"Why don't you turn around? Leave now and no one gets hurt," Daryl said.

"Wrong answer," Alpha said.

She then held up her fist.

"Oh no."

"What is it?" Daryl asked.

"Your missing people."

More of the Whisperers came out of the trees. Shit. She was gonna want to make a trade and I knew it. Kelly had come over and joined us, taking the pair of binoculars and looking through them.

"They don't see her. At least not yet," she said.

"Who?" I asked.

"My sister."

"She's out there?"

"She ducked into the cornfield before they could see her."

"The girl told me what her mom does to her. We ain't sending her back to that," Daryl said, going back to the situation at hand.

"Yeah but what if she has Alden and Luke?" Tara asked.

"She does. That's why she came here...shit."

I banged my fist against the post in front of me before I made my way back down.

"Nat!" Daryl called but I ignored him.

I walked right up to the gate.

"Open them."

Before one of the guards could reached out and do as I asked, Daryl was quick to appear.

"Nah. Not yet," he told them.

He then turned to me and glared.

"The hell do you think you're doing?" he asked.

"What does it look like? I'm gonna kill that bitch."

"You kill her and you're dead."

"As long as she goes first," I said, moving past him to get to the gate.

"Hey. She ain't getting her. She said she was done talking but I ain't. I'm gonna go over and tell her that she ain't getting her," he said, gently tapping my arm.

"She has your people."

"We don't know."

"This is what's gonna to happen, you tell her that she's not getting her and then she's gonna offer you a trade and you're gonna take it. You're gonna take it because Lydia isn't one of you."

I already knew how this whole thing was gonna end.

"You don't know that."

"Yeah I do. I was one of them remember."

He sighed but had them open the gate. As soon as they closed again, I turned and bumped right into Henry.

"What does she want?"

I gave him a look that said everything he needed to know.

"No...Nat, she can't have her. Please don't let her mom take her."
