Your POV

Cedric broke the silence and spoke.

"Hi, I'm Cedric." He said, reaching his hand over.

So he didn't notice me..

I reached my hand back over and shook his hand.

His hand was warm and welcoming, his skin soft.

"I'm Y/N L/N." I said with a wide smile. (Maybe too wide..)

He laughed and put his hand on his lap.

"I've always wondered what your name was." He said, slightly flushed.

So he DID notice me

I felt myself turn scarlet and tried to laugh it off.

After that there was silence until I asked him some more questions about himself.

Cedric' POV

Y/N asked me questions about my family and about Hufflepuff.

Her smile was warm and her laugh even warmer.

Everything about her was strangely welcoming, a welcome I had never felt before.

I knew she was younger, but everything about her personality just clicked with mine -- it was much different then anyone else.

Your POV

The train come to an abrupt stop and I regrouped with Harry, Hermione and Ron.

Me and Hermione whispered excitedly about Cedric.

Weirdly enough, Ron and Harry weren't talking to eachother in front of us.

They made me and Hermione stand in between them, and when I asked Hermione she said not to mention it.

Next came to next, and before I knew it we were in the girls rooms gossiping about Harry and Ron's fight.

Ginny, Hermione and I sat in a triangle and they caught me up.

Apparently Harry and Ron had gotten in a disagreement about me and it got heated enough that they decided not to talk to eachother.

Hermione told me that Harry was talking about how I would be going with him to the Yule Ball this year; and Ron seemed to think otherwise.

The more she explained the less of a twinkle there was in Ginny's eyes.

It wasn't a secret that she had the hots for Harry ever since his first year.

I felt bad for Ginny, and I couldn't help but feel guilty.

I quickly changed the subject and we went back to giggling, and then to sleep.

I opened my weary eyes and checked the time.

FRICK FRICK FRIICCCKKKK

Everyone in my room was gone and I jumped out if bed.

I practically threw my clothes on and rushed out of the door.

Where am I supposed to be right now?

I scrambled as I tried to just remember my schedule.

MAN! I have Defence Against the Dark Arts with Slytherin this morning.. today's gonna be long and I can feel it.

I rushed into the class and tried to slow my roll when arriving.

Umbridge.

I had never met her, all I knew is that she was everything but good news.

The ministry sent her and she had some serious obsession with the color pink.

Teh whole class went silent as I came in.

I saw Draco look back at me, with a smirk on his face.

"Ah, Miss L/N. I see you have decided to join us this morning." She sighed.

I slightly nodded and forced a smile.

"Well. You may have a seat next to Mister Malfoy, for there are no more seats left."

I could tell she was almost trying not to scream at me through a forced calm voice.

Last time I'm late to this class.

I sighed and sat down next to Draco. Pansy shot daggers at me from across the room.

The class ended soon enough and I had an off period. I took a seat in the courtyard, resting my eyes. I was too tired to read.

Suddenly I felt someone sit on the bench beside me. I had no idea who it was. At this point it could be anyone.

I opened one of my eyes and peered at the familiar face next to mine. Harry Potter beamed as he looked me in the eye. I smiled lightly and sat up to talk to him.

"Do you like the new professor?" Harry said, twiddling his thumbs.

"I'm not quite sure." I said, thinking about it. "As far as first impressions go, she wasn't crazy about me being late. But she did make me feel uncomfy." I laughed as I said the last word.

Harry looked directly in front of him. "I have a bad feeling about her." He said, slouching.

I shrugged. Just then Malfoy and his goons came up to us. "Gotten yourself a new girLfriend, Pottah?" He said, glancing towards me.

Harry flushed red and got up from his seat next to me. Harry neared towards Draco, causing him to back up. The tension in the air was frightening.

I got up from my seat and tried to pull Harry from Draco, but he persisted. I didn't understand the fuss over a dim-witted comment, this must have been the last straw for Harry.

Soon attention was drawn upon us, along with speculation.

It must've caught the attention of Ron and Hermione, as they soon rushed to the seen, helping me pull Harry off of Draco, who was now backed onto a tree and clearly afraid.

Harry's determination though, is something that no one can break. It had caused quite the fuss.

There was only one thing I could do now. I shoved myself in between them, pushing Harry off of him. Harry's red barely faded.

I turned to Draco and scoffed.

Can he never leave me alone?
