A/N omg guys thank you all so so so so much for the reads! You have no idea how much it means to me. tysm

"I- I"

I stuttered. I mean, of course I liked Cedric. You could even say love I guess.

But, Cedric wasn't the only person I was attracted to. I couldn't bear breaking him. I couldn't.

How did I get myself in this stupid sintuation anyway?

A look of hurt flashed across Cedric's face.

"I- you can say no! I swear it won't bother me! We can just stay friends! Can we stay friends? I'm so sorry- I just thought you'd want to and-"

I cut him of by kissing him.

What's the worst that could happen? If I just said yes? If I just allowed myself to be happy with Cedric?

I pulled away and he smiled at me.

"That's the best Christmas gift ever."

The golden trio and I were studying in the library a few days later.

Harry and Ron took the Cedric news sourly, but they were over it- kind of.

"I don't get it." Ron said after a while.

I raised an eyebrow.

"What exactly don't you get?"

"Are you sure Diggory really likes you? He's in bloody 7th year! Are you sure he's not just- playing with your feelings?"

Hermione rolled her eyes. I ignored his question.

"Not that he can't like you, I mean, who doesn't? Look at you! Prettiest girl in school you are! You know I'm only looking out-"

He was cut off by a glaring Harry.

"Ron."

Hermione and I tried our best to keep in laughs.

"Your blabbering."

"Sorry..."

Ron muttered.

"Y/N?" Hemione asked me and I looked to her, knowing what she meant.

"That time already? Man, ok. Bye guys, we'll see you later."

Me and Hermione had a double-date to Hogsmede with Cedric and Cormac.

I had my reservations about Cormac, that I'd made clear to Hermione. The guy just can't take no for an anwser.

I wanted to tell Hermione he might have a thing for me, I mean he asked me to the Yule Ball. But, I didn't want to make this about me.

As soon as we got there, we were met with a grim-faced Cedric and a smirking Cormac.

I wanted to ask Cedric what was wrong, but his look was defensive.

We walked to Honeydukes, checking out the candy.

I told Cedric and Hermione I was gonna go look at another part of the store. I guess we had lost Mclaggen somewhere, something I was not planning on complaining about.

I walked to my desired part in the store, checking out all of the cauldron cakes.

⚠️TW! This will not be bad at all, but I figured I would try.

Suddenly, I felt a pair of arms around my waist. I thought they were Cedric at first, but soon nothing his arms were not this skinny.

I turned around to be met with Cormac. I pushed him off of me.

"Sorry, I'm not Hermione."

I said, knowing it might have been a mistake. Cormac smirked at my attempt.

He got closer to me, pushing a piece of hair behind my ear.

"I know."

The nerve!

I pushed him away from me, glaring at his unbothered form.

"No, Cormac. I have a boyfriend."

Cormac rolled his eyes.

"Oh sure, the Hufflepuff softie. You should be ashamed to call him 'yours.'"

This made me angry. I put up my hand to punch him, but someone had already beat me to it.

I looked to my side to see Hermione with Cedric by her side.

Hermione looked to you apologetically. She hugged me.

"Are you alright? He didn't hurt you did he?" She asked, concern lacing her words.

"I'm fine. I'm just a little envious you got a punch before me."

Hermione laughed before pulling away, still holding both of my arms.

"I'm so sorry. I should have listened to you."

"'Mione, it's ok. No harm, no foul."

She hugged me again before giving Cedric a turn at me.

He hugged me tightly.

"I'll add him to the group of people I have to have a stern talking to with." He muttered sourly.

By this time, Cormac had scurried away, too scared to face the 'softie'.
