I went downstairs to feed him breakfast when Charlie handed me an envelope with only my name on it.

I held back my tears put on a fake smile and said "hey baby go ask auntie Bella if she can drop you off at school" he ran upstairs as I started ripping up the letter. By the time I threw the scraps away they came down and he hugged me. I kissed his head and said "I'll pick you up and we can go have ice cream ok baby" he said "ok mommy"
Bella grabbed his hand and took him to school. Once my son was out of sight I dropped to the ground sobbing. Charlie was so confused but sat next to me hugging me. He said "Mads what was in the note?" I said "he left" Charlie simply held me while I cried. Once I couldn't cry anymore I got up and went to my room locking my door. I washed my face and started gathering up everything that family gave me, I stuck them all in trash bags and set it outside my door and said "Dad can you take these to the trash please?" He looked at the bags and said "what's in them?" I said "what do you think" then I locked my door again before sitting in my window.
Apparently I wasn't done crying because I started again, it was like that all day just crying. Finally I got up and washed my face before making sure I looked ok, I grabbed my keys and as I was going out the door Charlie said "Mads, where are you going?" I said "To get my son, regardless of the fact my heart was ripped out, I still have to be his mother first and foremost." I walked out slamming the door. I saw Bella follow Edward into the woods, I ignored them and got in my car heading to Forks Primary.
