"We're all in this
human experience together,
so let's try to be kind, gracious,
and compassionate to each other."

deception, graciousness
Christmas break had been a wonderful change of pace for Andromache—who temporarily cleared her head of the DADA knowledge Quirrell had drilled into her, focused on her emotions like Snape advised, and took the chance to breathe.
[To be completely honest, Andromache derives from Snape's form of Occlumency—which consists of emptying oneself of emotion and clearing one's mind—her own form: using her emotions as fuel to control her thoughts, hiding everything else behind the dam wall she has experience building.]
Now, sitting on the train back to Hogwarts, Andromache thinks of her relaxing holiday with her family, and the gifts she had the pleasure of giving and receiving.
From Hermione, she received an eagle-feather charmed like the fake Sickles to warm up when one of the journals is written—she has one for herself too, so Addy and Harry or Ron can keep the Sickles.
Andromache gifted her twin a single heart charm for the bracelets they received from their parents on their birthday—of which she has a matching one, and both of which are charmed.
"When we touch the heart, we can talk to each other through our thoughts," the blonde explained, before demonstrating by pinching the heart charm between her index finger and thumb, "Just like this."
The older Granger smirks as she remembers Hermione nearly falling off her bed in shock at hearing her sister's voice in her head.
Cedric gave her Quidditch Through the Ages, with all the pages to do with the Chaser position marked with pieces of parchment reading 'Try out for the team next year!' and 'Swift and agile flyer = you = Chaser!' and 'Be a Hufflepuff Chaser!'
She had given him a book with offensive and defensive spells because of his talent for duelling, marking the page with the Shield Charm with parchment explaining the properties of his wand as observed by Ollivander—properties and traits that correspond with Hufflepuff, and of which the Diggory boy is a paragon.
Adelaide had gifted her The Tales of Beedle the Bard and had received a journal full of information on ailments, illnesses, healing spells and potions—anything to do with healing, as her brunette friend wants to become a Healer.
The Weasley twins had sent her sugar quills, and a moving photograph of bewitched snowballs hitting the back of Professor Quirrell's head—the picture is her favourite gift by far; at least for the moment.
