"To not do what you can
to protect someone,
that's cowardly."

anticipation, pain, fragility, protection
The student-body are shocked when they awake to the large decrease in House Points—Slytherin have fifty less than the previous night, Hufflepuff have one-hundred less, and Gryffindor have one-hundred and fifty less—but when learning the circumstances behind it, the reactions change dramatically.
Most Gryffindors and Ravenclaws are upset at Gryffindor losing their lead over Slytherin, and many decide to ignore the trio responsible for it. The Hufflepuffs are mostly indifferent over the entire thing, as Adelaide and Andromache also lost them points—that they are going all going to help re-earn—but they don't want Slytherin winning the House Cup.
The Slytherins, however, are incredibly pleased by the development—some take to thanking the Gryffindor Trio responsible for it, making the Ravenclaws and other Gryffindors even more upset.
Andromache is the only one of the quintet able to remain indifferent about the scathing looks sent her friends' way throughout the day, and eventually, she decides to stick up for them by shocking those glaring or making snarky, rude, and sarcastic remarks into silence.
["You have beautiful eyes," she tells a second-year Gryffindor girl.
"What a gorgeous smile," she exclaims about a fourth-year Ravenclaw boy."I love your hair," she remarks to a first-year Slytherin girl.
"Your skin is so clear," she says to a third-year Ravenclaw girl."You have a wonderful voice," she chimes about a fifth-year Gryffindor boy.
"What a lovely ring," she comments to a sixth-year Slytherin boy."I like your laughs," she compliments a pair of seventh-years—a Ravenclaw boy, and Gryffindor girl.
"Your braid is done perfectly," she smiles at a third-year Slytherin girl.]
The peculiar approach stuns the instigators into silence, and eventually, everyone gives up, surrendering to the strange tactic and leaving the group alone. When night falls, the six first-years with detention are led outside Hogwarts Castle by the caretaker, Filch, who doesn't bother hiding his rather sadistic thoughts.
"A pity they let the old punishments die. There was a time detention would find you hanging by your thumbs in the dungeons. God, I miss the screaming," Filch says, prompting Draco to gulp, Hermione to rush by him, and Andromache to hum in acknowledgement as she stabilises a stumbling Adelaide.
"You'll be serving detention with Hagrid tonight," the caretaker informs them as they near the Gamekeeper's hut, "He's got a little job to do inside the dark forest."
