Sean wakes up in his dream. He looks around him, confused.

He was in his room in Seattle, and there was something off about the air. The skies were eerily dark.

The electric clock read: 6:59 pm.

His hand goes to his head, a pounding pain making his vision blur with black dots.

His phone rumbles on his desk. He lunges for it, quickly unlocking it.

Lyla: meet u there x

Meet me where?

He scrolls up to the previous messages. It consisted of Lyla texting Sean about some thing she needed to tell him.

Lyla: i figured something out

Me: plz tell

Lyla: need to tell u in person

Lyla: meet me on the road

Me: i'll be there

This doesn't make sense to Sean. He pulls on his shoes, to meet Lyla for this "thing" she needed to tell him.

He thinks about Honey and panics. The last thing he remembers is him driving into the dark, and Honey in the back writing about something.

He cusses himself, desperately trying to get out of the dream.

Maybe he needed to sleep? He glances at his bed, the bed messy and not made properly. He shakes his head, it didn't work for that one dream where he was at his grandparent's: why would it work now?

He sits on the edge of his bed. Maybe he needed to go through this little thing with Lyla til the 'other' Sean takes over.

He pulls a sweater over his head. He was swimming in his thoughts, unaware that he was already out the door and making his way toward the road.

He looks up to the sky, the pitch black backdrop littered with stars as if he was in the real world.

There was traffic, meaning he wasn't out there.

"The sky looks weird tonight." He hears a voice come from the side of him. Lyla stands there, a couple inches shorter than him.

She was dressed in a loose sweater. Shorts were hiding underneath the bagginess of her sweater.

She had her skateboard clutched to the side of her.

Oh no.

He remembered this moment now. Sean looks at her nails, hoping that it wasn't the colour-

Bright red.

He remembered this exact moment. Cursing quietly, he forces a smile onto his face. "Maybe we should just stay here today?"

Lyla shakes her head. "It's been too long since I've been to the park." She glances around for his own skateboard.

She grabs his board and passes it to him. "Plus, we need a break from all this weird dream shit."
