Sean stretches his arms, the world around him glowing yellow.

He didn't know what happened in his dream, but he finally felt like he slept. He wished he could sleep forever.

He spots Honey laying outside on the porch, dust in her short hair. She held a book between her hands.

Sean grabs his sweater and quickly pulls it on, the air cold. He pulls himself up from the bed and walks toward the door. Stuffing his shoes on, he opens the sliding door.

"Hiya, Seanie-boo." Honey teases, flipping to lay on her stomach. She puts the book down and pushes herself to sit up. "You slept for almost 18 hours."

"Ah, jesus." Sean sighs. "I'm sorry for leaving you by yourself."

Honey pulls herself up, grabbing onto Sean's arm for support. "That's okay! I'm reading a book." She motions to the book.

Sean rubs the back of his neck as he watches her go sit on a couch that was off to the side. "It was quiet." Honey pouts. "But you needed the sleep!"

Sean smiles lightly. "Thanks. For bringing me here." Honey pats the seat beside her and Sean obliges, making his way to the couch.

Honey opens the book and leans her head on Sean's shoulder. "This book is about a girl who finds out she has some kind of rewind power." Honey explains, half reading the page. "Her name is Max Caulfield."

"That's cool." Sean peeks into the book.

"Max is at a pool with a girl named Chloe right now." Honey explains, pointing to Chloe's name. "Chloe is her old friend who she recently rekindled with." Honey sighs dreamily.

"They're perfect for each other." Honey frowns. "Chloe's heart belongs a missing girl named Rachel Amber, though."

Sean glances at the cover, it was a white one with a polaroid-style drawing of 'Max' on it. Max had short brown hair and soft eyes.

"I had this book forever. Surprised I'm just reading it now." Honey closes the book and sighs. "My mom would've loved this book."

Sean looks at Honey, who stared at her lap. "I can't stop thinking about her." Honey rubs her eye and sits properly. "Sorry, it's too early for sad stuff."

Sean grabs his sketchbook from where he put it under the couch. He was surprised he didn't leave it at some place random yet.

"My dad bought this for me." Sean's fingers traces the edge of the small journal. He flips to the first page and spots his dad's note.

Honey looks at the page, the small drawing sticking out to her. "I guess," Honey pauses to look at Sean. "I guess we're both dragging our past with us."

Sean nods. He flips to a page of Daniel. He holds the open page to Honey, who grabs it carefully.

"I drew this after I—dreamt of him." Sean says slowly, watching from the corner of his eye as Honey traces the lines that looked like Daniel.

"He looks like you." Honey's lip curves into a small smile. "Daniel, right?"

Sean nods. "Can't escape the past with my dreams following me." Sean ruffles his own hair, trying to occupy himself with something. "Can I ask you a question, roja?"
