"Honey, it's so hard to say 'I love you ' when you don't love me."

Hermione still haven't found a solution to make Draco say 'I love you'.

In fact, it was so irritating that Hermione struggled not to throw her potions book across the room.

She was currently having double potions with Slytherin, sandwiched in between Ginny and Ron. Ron was nibbling on his sugar quill with a bored expression, and Ginny was trying to finish her 3 foot long history report underneath her desk. Adjacent to Ginny, she found Harry trying to focus on the teacher, but failing miserably.

I feel like crying already, Hermione thought as she pulled out a fresh new parchment from her bag.

Just yesterday, she had stayed up late to put up with a bloody git, tried to do a dare, and suffer from overwhelming attractiveness.

Wait, did I just thought of that?

Hermione heaved out an angry sigh and tried to focus on the professor. She found her brown eyes settling on Malfoy, again, and she could feel the faint blush creeping up her cheeks. Shaking her head in distress, she thought, what's wrong with me today?!

What was  wrong with her exactly? She didn't know. She was tempted to tell Ginny but she knew it would make it worse.

She could already picture Ginny teasing in a sing-song voice.

"Oooh, you're in looooove  Hermione."

Yeah, don't do that, Hermione thought, and hastily dipped her quill in ink.

Trails of black splotches drizzled towards Hermione's parchment of notes, and Ginny glanced up.

"Woah, careful !" Ginny hissed and wiped the ink off the desk, leaving fat smudges. (which were still clearly visible)

Hermione gave her an apologetic look and dove back into her notes, trying to keep her eyes glued to her parchment. No use. She was already feeling herself sinking into a daydream, staring at Malfoy or not.

She remembered the touch when her lips met with Malfoy. It was such a wonderful bliss, to kiss the one she had been missing in her whole life. The two were like missing puzzles, magnets urging to be together. It might be the most wonderful kiss she had ever shared in her whole life. Better than Ron, she found herself thinking as she enjoyed the kiss more and more. The pleasurable apple taste was strong on her mouth. As they parted, Hermione couldn't help but look into his mesmerizing eyes; a beautiful shade of heaven. She had to admit-- she would give anything to stare at them every day.

Stop it Hermione, she scolded to herself. Stop fantasizing on wild things

She tried to focus on the professor once more, and was relieved (and eager) that he was asking a question.

"...Now who can tell me the effects of Amortentia." Professor Slughorn said in his hearty voice.

Slughorn (or Horace Slughorn) was the potions teacher, and the head of Slytherin house ever since Snape had become headmaster. He enjoys crystalized pineapples, and oak mead. (or was that just Harry's theory?)

Hermione's hand shot up instinctively.

"Yes, Miss Granger?"

Hermione stood up and spouted information like a gushing faucet.

"Amortentia is the most powerful love potion in existence. It causes a powerful infatuation or obsession from the drinker. It also has a distinctive mother-of-pearl sheen, and steam that rises from it in characteristic spirals."
