31 days of horror (halloween)

Day 8

Gruesome and Zombie

Harper and Hunter is running from a horde of zombies, that had been chasing them for the last three days. They had unfortunately walked into a house where they where staying, and it was not the normal zombies, it was some mutated ones, and they could run.

Hunter and Harper were running and they could just not get away from the zombies, they had tried one thing after another but nothing had helped, they didn't want to die, but they were losing hope. They had just run around a corner and gotten a lot more distance between them and the zombies, when someone grabbed Harper from an alleyway. She wanted to scream for Hunter, but she was starving, out of energi and the person was covering her mouth. Harper then just didn't try to fight the person, and was just standing there while the person was holding her.

The Stranger then whispered to her "Are you gonna be quit and still if I let you go Harp?"

Harper normally didn't react to nicknames, but Harp was there only one person that called her, and she was terrified of him. So she just nodded and was quiet when he let go of her, and she was just wishing for Hunter to come back for her, but she was also afraid of what the person would do to him.

The stranger looked at her and said "What is his name?" But she didn't answer him

He then said it a little different to her "If you want me to save him, then tell me his name"

She was still afraid, but she answered him "Hunter, please help him Joe!"

He looked disappointed, but looked for a safe way for him to come over to Hunter. He then proceeded to dodge the zombies he did run across. When he finally came to Hunter, there was something wrong, had could feel this dangerous aura coming from Hunter, and he did not like it. Hunte was also a completely different person from who he had seen running from the zombies, he had now turned around and was looking at them. Joe was now just looking at him from a distance, because he had a feeling that something was about to happen, and he was right, something did happen. Hunter was standing still and he had done that the whole time, the zombies was just, out of nowhere cut into bits and pieces, and it was just gruesome. Hunter then noticed Joe, and was about to do the same to him, but Harper appeared behind him, and Hunter became normal. Harper then ran over to him without looking carefully enough, there was still one zombie left "alive", it grabbed her leg and was about to bite her, when Hunter turned back into that murderous person he was before she turned up. Harper didn't even react to Hunters deadly form, with sharp nails and teeth, because she had seen it before.

"Harp what in the world are you doing with such a dangerous person?" Joe yelled to Harper

Harper then explained with a murderous smile on her face "What are you talking about, he isn't dangerous, he wouldn't hurt a fly...."

Joe then said a little nervous to Harper "Okay that is good to know, but still I don't trust him"

Harper then said with a calm and terrifying voice "You didn't let me finish, he wouldn't hurt a fly, unless I say it"

Joe then knew what would happen to him, even though he just had saved her, he would be killed right there. Sure enough Harper just gave a not towards him, and Hunter had cut Joe's head of in no time. Hunter then walked back to Harper, and turned back to his human side.

Harper said to Hunter "You could have hunted him down and made a game out of it, if you just had let the zombie bite me"

Hunter just answered her with "No"

Harper then looked away and back at him, because she had noticed a little teenage girl. She could see on the girl that she saw the whole thing and therefore they didn't have to pretend to help her.

Harper asked a question she already knew the answer to "It has been a while since you have had a pray to hunt right Hunter?" She just did it on purpose, because she wanted the girl to run.

Hunter just said in a cold and calm voice "Pray"

Harper knew that the girl weren't gonna last that long, but she loved to see people run in fear from her and Hunter. And that had been something they had done for 4 or 5 years now, but it was not just humans that was scared of them. When Hunter turned in front of them, they just freeze and stands there, but those that chose to run were the funniest. They tried to cheat death for a second time. Well back to the girl, Hunter caught her after 10 seconds, and he came back with her decapitated head.

Now the two of them just had to wait for their next victim  to come.
