Day 13

Mask and petrify

It was the night of the purge, and there was a lot of blood all around Las Vegas.

Benjamin was traveling to Las Vegas with a group of friends, but they all got murdered when they were staying in a hotel. Someone had come in and fired a machine gun into the room they were staying in. Benjamin was now the only one alive, and he was trying to stay alive for the next 12 hours. He didn't have any weapons and he didn't know how to fight so he was screwed, he would be lucky just finding someone that didn't want to kill him. And to his luck he found someone that didn't want to kill him, they were now two people trying to survive.

Benjamin "Hey I didn't get your name, mine is Benjamin"

Stranger "It's Caroline, and maybe we just should try to survive, and not get to know each other" 

Benjamin looked at her, and knew he shouldn't push the questions any further. They had to get out of the city, also even though there would be killers all around them, on the way out. Caroline done the Purge each year from she was 10 where her parents got killed right in front of her. Her parents had done it since they were kids as well and their parents were lucky enough to see them grow up, even though it was a harsh childhood they had.  Caroline knew how to fight and take care of herself, and each year she tries to save as many people as she can. It had cut close for a couple of times, and she has some scars from the close encounter she had, but she haven't died just jet.

Caroline "Hey narrator, could we get back on track, there have happened a little while you were telling my story"

Narrator "I can see that, sorry Caroline, I will get back to you two now"

Caroline and Benjamin is getting hunted by a lot of killer clowns, and Caroline had run out of ammunition to her guns, so now they were just running for their life's. Benjamin looked behind him, and tripped over some bikes that was laying on the road. Caroline knew he had screwed up falling, even though he didn't do it on purpose, she had her eyes in front of her the whole time, even though she could hear him in the background. She knew some of the clowns would go for him, while the others would go for her, so she kept going.

Caroline had been running for a while and gotten away from the clowns and hid inside of an old building. She could take a break from running and catch her breath, when she had relaxed enough, she looked at her watch and noticed that she had just five hours left. She wanted to stay in the house, but she also knew that she had to keep going, otherwise the clowns or some other psychopath would get a hold of her and kill her. She looked out of one of the windows and saw that the coast was clear and ran out. She was careful not to make to much noise, and went back to the place where Benjamin had tripped. She knew of some clowns that didn't kill their victims, but just scared them half to death. Carline was unfortunately not that lucky, it was KILLER clowns that was after her and Benjamin. That was also the reason for why she was looking at Benjamin's beat up body. Caroline squatted down beside his body, to see if there was something she could use. But the only things she found was a picture of his family and his phone.

Caroline looked a little on the picture and stood up. When she looked up she saw one of the most terrifying masks of all time and for the first time in her life, she was petrified. The mask she was looking at was just a normal carnival mask, but when ever someone had seen it, lets just saw they were never seen again. But the masked person was just looking at Caroline.

Masked "Well what a beautiful girl you are, I just wish you weren't petrified by my looks"

Caroline just looked at him, and she could see he was waiting for an answer. She was just to afraid to answer him. He walked closer to her and he knew what he was doing, because she was standing up against a wall. The masked stranger pulled a knife out of his pocket and put it up to one of her eyes. He then proceeded to cut her eye in half, and was going to do the same with the other one, but she moved his hand down to her throat.

Caroline "If you wanna kill me, then just do it, don't play with me"

Masked "Oh now the little girl got a voice, fine if that is your wish, what a pity"

He could see the fear in her eyes, but he still cut her throat fast and precise, he then looked down at her wrist. He got a really big surprise from the watch she had on. It had taken a picture of him and had a precise time stamp of when he killed her.

Masked "That little bi##h, knew what time it was, she set me up"

He was furious, but impressed. No one had tricked him before, and that a little girl had done it was really impressing to him.  He got a hold of his phone, and looked at the internet. The first thing that turned up on his news was a picture of him. Carline was a internet celebrity, and she had a huge fan base.

--- 1 hour later ---

When the police came to the crime scene, the masked person was gone and he had put a card with a rose and a mask on. But this time there was a phone number on the card as well. The police chief found his own phone and rang to the number. It rung two times and then someone picked up.

--- Phone call ---

Masked "Well I didn't think you would call me police chief"

Chief "Where are you, you committed a crime last I checked"

Masked "If I haven't tolled you it before, why would I now?"

Chief "You don't normally put you number either, I could be lucky"

Masked "Yeah, sorry, you have to find me on your own"

Chief "What is it now, 10th year, shouldn't you go on pension?"

Masked "Who are gonna play with you then?"

The masked person then hung up the phone, and let the police chief stand with another unsolved case.
