Day 19

Dead and eyeballs

"Hey Melanie, what are you doing, we have to go before the police is here"

Melanie: "Calm down Maverick, we don't have to worry, we are out in nowhere"

Maverick: "I just don't want to take any chances"

Melanie didn't give him an answer, so he looked at the direction she was just standing. He could see her silhouette, but she was acting differently. He took his flashlight and shined on her, she had her back to him, so he wanted to get her attention, and wanted her to turn around. He called her name, but she didn't react. He walked up to and placed a hand on her shoulder, without any notice, she turned her head towards him, and he jumped back in fear. She was missing her eyes, and there was these dark holes in her head and Maverick was about to run away. But there was something stopping him.

He turned around, and knew that he had to take Melanie back home, even though she was missing her eyes, otherwise he would a dead man, the next time her father saw him. He was walking over to Melanie, when he fell and landed on the ground. He looked around and thought it was a branch he had tripped over, but when he flashed his flashlight over the ground, he say that he had slipped on eyeballs. He then suddenly heard a voice coming from in front of him.

Melanie: "Maverick, what are you doing on the ground, nevermind let's get out off here"

Maverick was completely confused of what just had happened, because Melanie was back to normal, and she was acting like nothing had happened. He didn't want her to think he had gone mad, so he just got up on his feet and grabbed her hand.

While Maverick walked out of the house, Melanie looked back in the house as if there was something there.

Maverick: "Something wrong, babe?"

Melanie: "Nothing wrong, just thought I heard something, I guess it's my imagination".

They both got out off the house, and was about to go home. But Maverick had remembered that he had put a camera inside of the house, because it was said to be haunted. So he walked back to get even though he didn't want to.

He found the camera and looked around because it had been moved. He noticed someone standing in the corner crying. And even though he was terrified, his curiosity was stronger.

Maverick: "Who is standing there?"

The person turned around and it was Melanie. He just couldn't get it to fit, because she had just left the building and was standing outside.

Maverick: "Melanie, how can you be here, what is going on?"

Melanie: "I don't know, one moment I was standing with you and then it just turned black"

Maverick: "So it wasn't just my imagination, it really happened"

Melanie had just seen herself appear behind Maverick, so she didn't have time to warn him. Maverick was now laying on the floor with a knife in the back, and Melanie could see that her imposter was coming far her next.

The imposter had grabbed a rope, and made a lasso. Melanie almost got caught, but she dodge the lasso ring, and ran passed the person. Melanie looked behind her to see if the person was after her, but they weren't.

She didn't want to take any chances, so she just ran to town and found the first person she could. But every person she tried to talk to, just walked past her, and did talk to her. After a couple of people had past her, she placed herself in front of the last one, and they just walked right through her.

She then put two and two together. She had said and it was her spirit running around.
