Section 1

The 3rd Constitution shall be ratified as a successor to the United States Constitution, which has been in effect since March 4, 1789, and shall hereby be concurrently known as The 2nd Constitution of the United States of America. The Articles of Confederation and Perpetual Union, which was in effect from March 1, 1781, to March 4, 1789, shall hereby be concurrently known as The 1st Constitution of the United States of America.

Section 2

After The 3rd Constitution has gone into effect, an update to it shall be ratified in a timely and responsible manner in order to prevent perverseness and outdatedness. The official names of all succeeding constitutions shall be The [Ordinal Number] Constitution of the United States of America.
