Introduction
The 3rd Constitution of the United States of America was published on October 4, 2020. Amendments to The 3rd Constitution shall update and revise the document after its date of publication.
Amendment 1
Congress shall have the power to enforce amendments, where applicable, by appropriate legislation.
Amendment 2
There shall be 8 debates 1 month before the general election in presidential-election years. Each debate shall run for 90 uninterrupted minutes, and each shall be as evenly spaced out as possible. Four of those debates shall feature the vice-presidential candidates and the other 4 shall feature the presidential candidates. There shall be 2 debates per week, with the vice-presidential candidates always going first.
The first week of debates shall feature 1 moderator. The second week shall feature panel debates. The third week shall feature youth debates. The fourth week shall feature town-hall debates.
The moderator or moderators shall exercise the authority to make sure that all questions are answered. They shall have the authority to have microphones turned off and on. Time limits shall be strictly enforced. Candidates who do not follow the rules shall be penalized by being given less time to answer questions or make rebuttals.
Amendment 3
In order to better represent and work for their citizenries and members, the federal and subnational governments and political parties shall reach out to people outside of the law profession to serve in Congress, the presidency, the vice presidency, and the cabinet.
Amendment 4
No prison or any other type of correctional facility shall ever be run for profit. All for-profit prisons shall hereby be forever null, void, and illegal and properties and institutions of the state. All prisons shall be run with the intention of rehabilitating prisoners and work toward reducing the rate of recidivism.
Amendment 5
The federal and subnational governments shall have all of the necessary authority, ability, and funding to establish rules and standards concerning and to regulate and safeguard the collection, ownership, and marketing of any information as it pertains to social-media platforms, social-media companies, online companies, and any other corporation or business.
Amendment 6
The 3rd sentence of 3C2A2S5P is hereby repealed.
For states with populations greater than 1 million residents, no House district shall exceed 1 million residents. For states with fewer than 100,000 residents, no House district shall exceed 30,000 residents. For states with populations ranging from 100,000 to 999,999 residents, they shall be equally divided as much as possible between 2 House districts.
Amendment 7
Prostitution and all other similar and comparable business practices shall be decriminalized and regulated in full by the government. They shall fall under the jurisdictions of federal and state health departments. Workers shall form unions to protect themselves, and workers and businesses shall be taxed accordingly by law.
Amendment 8
News organizations and companies in the news business shall not manufacture doubt about any topic, especially if there is unanimous or near-unanimous consensus surrounding it. News organizations and companies in the news business shall not mislead their readers, listeners, or viewers—whether intentionally, unintentionally, or accidentally—by calling things even, repeating talking points with little to no validity, disseminating propaganda, acting as extensions of governments or political parties or ideologies, or behaving in any way that would call their trustworthiness and objectivity into question.
