Story two
Hugo woke up with a start, his mind was foggy and tiredness made his eyes ache. After his head cleared he was immediately able to pin point the problem. The bed was soaked and cold.

Dread filled his stomach as this was the third time in a week that he had woken up wet. Ever since he found out his dad had been released Hugo had been worried he would come after him.

The pure stress and anxiety has resulted in wet sheets at least every other day. That wasn't the only thing, he had become very clingy. He tried not to but it was so hard, victor was strong and powerful. Hugo knew victor would never let anything happen to him.

So he spends every minute of the day with victor. They read together in the library, he would sit quietly on the carpet in victors office as he worked. Hugo couldn't stand the thought of victor being out of his sight for more than five minutes.

He feared he was starting to annoy victor. Victor never said this mind you, but the constant presence must cause him to want some alone time. It had gotten so bad he skipped going into town his last two free days just so he could read at victors feet on the carpet of the study.

When he had gone to bed that night victor told him that if he ever wanted to talk then they could. Hugo had politely declined as he didn't want to be a bother. "Hugo" a deep gravely voice said from outside the door. Hugo immediately recognized it as victors.

The door creaked open a little and the outline of victors huge frame became visible. "Your bracelet alerted everyone that you were in distress". Hugo subconsciously brought his hand to the black beaded bracelet that was wrapped around his right wrist. "N-no, I'm ok don't worry.".

Victors glowing eyes narrowed at Hugo for a few seconds before saying "did you have a nightmare". "I'm really sorry for waking you, I didn't want to-". "An accident to it appears". Hugo could feel his face warm up and a wave of shame and embarrassment washed over him.

hot tears pooled his eyes and silently ran down his cheeks. Victor stalked over to the bed and crouched down to Hugo's height. "Come now, it's not big of a deal, no need to get so upset". He lifted his red handkerchief out his pocket and wiped up Hugo's tears. He then reached over and flicked on the light. through the gentle shine Hugo could better see victors soft blue eyes.

Victor snapped his finger and Hugo felt the cold, clammy sheets turn warm and soft again. "Do you wish to speak about it" "no sir" "then I suggest you get some rest". He stood and turned to leave but before he could get to the door he heard a whimper.

Turning back he saw Hugo sitting up in bed with fresh tears running down his face. "NO, please don't go, please, I don't wanna be alone-" "Shhhh" before he knew it Hugo felt himself being lifted up and placed on victors hip. He immediately hid his head in the warm broad shoulder.

He was bounced slightly as he felt himself being carried out of the room. He heard victor sit down and peeked his head out to see they were in the sitting room. Victor was sitting in the rocking chair by a burning fire.

Hugo couldn't help but sniffle a little. "If you aren't going to sleep, why don't we read for a bit". Between the low creaking of the chair and victors warm embrace Hugo never felt more safe.

"Victor?"........ "Yes"........"do you like me"......"whether I like or not should not matter"......."it's all right if you don't"......"I like reading and earl tea, you child, I love" "I love you to". Victor chose a book with a red leather back and the last thing Hugo remembered before falling asleep was victors deep voice speaking of the habits of horses.
