Falling Leaves ~ Chp. 8

It was the first day of fall and the leaves had already started to change color. Scar and Cub had already tried a lot of things to see if they could get rid of the ears at this point. Scar was wanting to get this resolved by this time of year. He was starting to lose hope in ever getting rid of them. 

Scar put his face into his pillow having barely any motivation to get out of bed. Jellie had come up to her owner and started to lick his face to see if he could get up. (I don't know if Jellie was worried or just wanting food) Scar looked at his cat and got up in the end so she would stop annoying him. 

Scar went down the stairs and put food in Jellie's bowl and made some toast for himself. He heard a knock on him door a while after and grabbed his hat and quickly hide his tail in his clothes(I just refer to it as only the ears because it's easier), just in case it was Xisuma or someone like that. It had ended up just being BDubs(quick reminder for who knows about the ears: Cub Grian BDubs), but you can never be too cautious.

"Oh, hey BDubs. What's up?", Scar said taking off his hat. 

"Well, I heard from Cub about what you two were trying to do and so maybe this could be helpful", BDubs replied holding out a purple amulet.

"Where did you get that?", Scar asked.

"I got it from Keralis who said Joe had given it to him. I then went to Joe to give it back to him since I didn't want it but according to Joe it was magical so instead I thought it would have more use for you.", BDubs responded. 

"Thanks I guess. I'll see what I can do with it.", Scar said grabbing the amulet. 

BDubs then left an Scar gave a sigh.

"How am I suppose to use this thing?", Scar mumbled closing the door. 

Before the door was completely closed Jellie ran out and started to play in the leaves. Scar couldn't help but laugh. He put on his hat just in case and went out to watch his cat. The cat was rolling around in a pile of leaves and overall enjoying the season. Scar was tempted to join in but was very content just watching Jellie do her own thing.  

After a bit Cub had come by to see this adorable moment of Jellie just running after leaves in the wind. Scar was still just watching from the side but was organizing some of his shulker boxes to do something minimally productive that day. Scar had ended up noticing that Cub was there and went up to him.

"Hey Cub, what brings you here?", Scar asked. 

"Just wanted to see if you were okay.", the pharaoh replied.

"Well since you're here, do you want to hangout for a bit?", Scar said looking at his friend.

"I'm not busy so fine my me! Have anything in mind for us to do together?", Cub replied.

"Nothing in particular.", Scar told him looking back at Jellie. 

"It's not a problem we can always just chat.", Cub said also looking at the cat who was not trying to make a leaf pile.(I have no idea why I made Jellie do this)

"Should we go help your cat?", Cub asked.

"Probably.", Scar replied going to make a leaf pile. 

Cub came right behind as they gathered the leave together. After a bit they had a large pile of leaves with Jellie tried to make a cave in. The two hermits just laughed as the leaves just kept filling back up the hole the cat was making. Cub grabbed some extra wood to make a hole that wouldn't cave in on itself. Jellie then went in the hole knocked down the sticks but the leaves fell on her. Scar jumped into the pile to rescue his cat. 

Cub just laughed as Scar came out of the leaves. Somehow Jellie was able to hide herself very well and wasn't able to be found. Cub came in to help out and after a while the sneaky cat was found and the pile had already be demolished. 

The sun was at it's highest point(Noon) and Cub was planning for a Decked Out run that day so if he wanted to do one in time he would have to go now. 

"I have to go now. See you some other time Scar.", Cub said.

"Bye then.", Scar replied picking up Jellie.

Cub then went off in direction of the Cowmercial District and Scar went back into his base to make some lunch.
