Orianna rubbed her eyes with one hand, while using the other to intently massage the left side of her temple, hoping to reduce the pulsing discomfort. During moments such as this she always felt grateful that the style of her bed clothing allowed her to simply get out of the room and walk comfortably around the hallways without having to worry about people spotting her. The fact that her own bedroom and Daynen's were both immediately next to one another, also made it easier, she guessed.
It didn't surprise her when no one answered her first knock on the door. Daynen wasn't a particularly light sleeper, but he often refused to do anything, least of all answer the door, probably knowing full-well that the only person who would bother him early in the morning was Orianna.
Thus she knocked again, harder this time, and also opted to kicking at it twice for good measure.
- Damn it, Tiberius! You better let me in this instant or I'll blow this door down and sprinkle the splinters in your breakfast! And lunch!
After yelling a couple of more threats and still receiving no response whatsoever, she simply grabbed the door handle, leaning on it with her full weight. To her ultimate surprise that resulted to her almost falling over, face first, as she thunderously entered the room, slipped on the small carpet now underneath her feet, before finally managing to somewhat restore her balance with the help of the cupboard on her right.
Before all that managed to occur however, Orianna could unmistakably recall seeing the image of a laughing, playfully screaming Hermione being chased by what seemed like a flying, animated blanket in close pursuit after her.
- What in the name of Merlin...
Hermione, who she now noticed to be wearing nothing but a buttoned white shirt too, had abruptly stopped her run, thus giving the blanket the chance to finally catch up with her, wrapping itself around her shoulders.
- I should really get that thing removed – Daynen said, looking at the cupboard, as he emerged from the other side of the blanket. - Ri, you alright?
- Do I look alright!?
Hermione was already kneeling down next to her, trying to help her to fully stand.
- Well this is a bit uncomfortable – the other girl said to Orianna and though she was smiling, her face was all red – a color that right now stood out even more due to the color shirt she was wearing.
- Don't mind me, I really do not care and I'll do my best to forget whatever I just saw or didn't see the moment I walk out. But unfortunately to us all I need your Potions textbook, D, mine is missing a page and I still have to muster the willpower to write my stupid homework at some point today. And I'll damn sure forget about it if I don't get it now, so throw me that book and I'm out!
- You're the only person that could come in the morning with that expression on her face and ask for a textbook – Daynen laughed, obviously in a very good mood, and went to his desk to find it. – Here. The usual team meeting tonight, to see the reviews of the show in the school newspaper?
- Yeah – she hid a yawn behind her palm, taking the textbook from him with her other hand.
- So you're having a day off? – Hermione asked, more than a little shock in her voice.
- Yes, after every show. I mean, we relax from playing but after the Band Battles we do gather to see what the reviews in the school newspaper are. Despite the usual gossip, there are some useful things to be learnt from it, especially after we've all sobered up from the excitement – Daynen explained.
- Until then I intend to have a nice Friday with no music for a change – Orianna murmured. – I feel like I've left my head under the pillow. And there's Quidditch in the afternoon so I'll have to crawl to the library immediately after breakfast. See you later, lovebirdies.
