It's been two months after Malacore mission and things were starting to turn good for everyone. Kanan has been learning to deal with being blind with the help of Hera and Ezra was looking like he felt better on the outside but on the inside he still felt sad.

On a slow day on the planet Attollon, Sabine was in her room admiring her new paint job she did on her armor. She was thinking about changing her hair color next in the process. Her thoughts were interrupted by a knock at her door. "Who is it?" She asked. "It's Ezra. Can I come in?" Ezra asked. Sabine smiled. "Come in." She said. The door open and she saw Ezra. He was wearing a orange shirt with some orange combat pants.

"Hey." They both said and laughed a little. "So, you need something?" Sabine asked. "Yeah. I was wondering if you could help me out with this..." Ezra grabbed something from behind him. He pulled out a lightsaber. Sabine got up and looked at it. "Where did you get this one. I thought yours was destroyed." Sabine said. "It was. When we were at the Sith Temple, we found multiple Jedi turned to stone, we saw a bunch of lightsabers on the ground that didn't have much energy in them." Ezra explained. "Well I don't if I can get this working without a Kyber Crystal you know that." Sabine stated. "I know which is why I got this." Ezra pulled something out of his pocket.

He showed Sabine and it was a Kyber Crystal. "How did you get this?" Sabine asked. "When Vader destroyed my lightsaber, the Kyber Crystal wasn't damaged completely. So I was able to get it." Ezra told her. "Wow. Nice thinking." Sabine stated. "So will you help me?" Ezra asked. Sabine thought for a moment and answered. "Sure." Sabine took the lightsaber, they sat down under Sabine's bunk and got to work.

Sabine had to take apart the lightsaber and grab tools from her tool box. She laid out the pieces on the table. She told Ezra to watch her so he can do it by himself when he could. Ezra watched as she was deep in concentration on fixing the lightsaber. He loved how focus she could be on things when she puts her mind to it. He twirled the Kyber Crystal in his hand as he watched Sabine and waited.

"Ezra, can you hand me the power cell." Sabine told him. Without hesitation, Ezra grabbed the power cell and handed it to her. "Thanks." She said. She placed the power cell down in front of her and went to work again.

Sabine gazed up at Ezra and saw him looking down with a sad look. "Hey, what's wrong?" She asked. "I don't know. I just feel off. I don't know why." Ezra answered not looking up at her. "You feel lost after what happened?" Sabine asked earning a nod from him. Sabine reached her arm out to him and touched his hand. "Hey, it's okay. No one blames you for what happened." Sabine told him. "But how can you not? I let my lust for knowledge about destroying the Sith cloud my judgement. I put Kanan in danger and Ahsoka..." Ezra trailed off. Sabine felt her heart melt seeing her best friend feel sad. She did want to see him sad at all.

She dropped what she was doing and walked to the other side of the table where he was sitting. She turned Ezra towards her and kneeled down. "It's okay. No one will ever see you differently than how we always saw you. As the good hearted kid we met. So please, for me, stop blaming yourself for what happened. I don't like see you like this." Sabine told him lifting his head up with her hand. Ezra looked into her eyes and smiled. "Thanks Sabine. I needed to hear that." Ezra said as he grabbed her hand and kissed it. Sabine blushed a little and smirked. She then got up and kissed him on the forehead making blush bright red. She got back into her seat. "Now come on and help me finish up." Sabine told him. Ezra nodded and they got back to work.

20 minutes later

"Alright all done." Sabine said holding the lightsaber. "It looks good." Ezra told her. Sabine smiled and handed it to him. "Give it a try." She said. Ezra grabbed the lightsaber and put the Kyber Crystal inside. He pressed the button but nothing happened. "Hold on." Sabine said and grabbed the lightsaber. She grabbed her wrench and twisted the lightsaber a little. "Okay try now." She said and handed the lightsaber back to Ezra. Ezra grabbed it and pressed the button. After a few moments it ignited into a green blade. "Whoa." They both said. "Well there you go, a new lightsaber." Sabine said. Ezra deactivated it and smiled at Sabine. He pulled her into a hug. Sabine smiled and hugged him back. "Thanks Sabine."
"No problem Ez."
