The next few days were a blur. BTS visiting KBS had turned their well organized institution into chaos. They were usually the ones covering the news, but now the news was covering them. Strategic talks ranged from security detail to hand sanitizer to getting special government permission for the boys to be mask free for their interview. The excitement was tangible. Even Ki feel giddy. Even though she had nothing to do with the live event, she loved the buzz. She was already above her station, having risen to lead writer in just two years, but this project was being handled by her seniors. Every thing, every word, had to be perfect. The entire world would be watching, not just South Korea. It was the perfect distraction. She was too busy to check her phone to see if anyone had texted.
No one ever texted.
The days were also a blur for Namjoon. Taking songs through the editing process, learning new choreo for the online concert, interviews, photo shoots, more interviews, more photo shoots, social media lives, and occasionally...... indulging in a scroll through his Twitter feed when he finally sat down to eat or breathe. Every day, every moment, felt critical. Every like, every view, every story, bringing them one step closer to a reality that had once seemed a pipe dream. It was fever pitch. A day dream, a dream awake. And in every moment, with eyes open or closed, he thought of her. And how much sweeter all of it would be if he ended the day holding her hand as she fell asleep.
But he never texted.
