Juggling an identity ~spiderman~

Chapter 10

Natasha's Pov

My head hurt. Fury gave me a head ache. He has been yelling on and on about spider man. To be honest i don't even think the spider is even that bad. He didn't hurt anyone and all he wanted was to do good. I know how the rest of the team felt about him. They all hated him. Probably because they cant accept failure. We sat in the Stark Tower living room while Nick just rambled on how pathetic we are. 

"-ed identity! We can't accept a potential threat running around the street. We all know that he is quite powerful." Nobody cared enough to answer back to him.

"Okay, one question" I spoke up. "What evidence do we actually have that suggests that he is a threat to New York?" Questioning Fury like this is a little bit crossing the line, knowing that he can suspend me from the team. But I was generally curious what his real aim is.

Fury slightly looked hesitant but answered confidently. "What good guy wears a mask unless he has something to hide. Plus being a vigilante and taking the law into your own hands is illegal."

Good point. But was it worth to kidnap him over?  "His age." I simply stated

"What about his age? we know he's 19." Tony answered. He hasn't talked in a while. His week had been really rough. Arguments with Pepper. Spider man. Fury. He also nearly hit a old woman the other day and Pepper wants him to make a public apology. But that's something to worry about another time.

"I don't think he's 19. When i confronted him about it he generally seemed surprised we thought he was 19." I said.

"So you're saying the voice analysts we did was wrong? He's older?" Bruce chipped in.

"Probably not. I spent hours making that voice system. It can accurately estimate someone's age just based on their voice." Annoying, Stark argued back.

"No. Stark your system might be wrong anyway. But i think he might be even younger than 19. like maybe 16?" 

"Ramanoff might be on to something. His voice sounds young and she is making sense." Fury agreed.

Time skip

We spent half an hour talking about Spider man. Some people agreed that he might be about 16 but others completely denied the idea. We were kind of split in half. Sam suggested that it makes sense because we never see him on patrol during school hours, which Clint argued that it could also be work hours. Age wasn't the only thing we thought about. His powers where also on our minds. I'm guessing he is a mutant because of how strong he is.

Midway through a conversation, I heard a small 'thud' in the vent above us. Normally I'd think it was just Clint, but Clint was sitting right beside me participating with the conversation. 

Fury seemed to have noticed it as well. 

While Steve was talking, Nick picked up a gun blaster and aimed it at the vent to whoever that was in there...
