Rebecca and Adam spent their first few months together supporting each other through the struggle of a new life. Making new friends was hard but they had each other to chase away the sudden lonely rooms. Rebecca was adamant that Adam wouldn't get in the way of her education. She made sure she went to every lecture no matter how hard he tried to convince her to stay in bed with him.

Adam was clearly taken with Rebecca. Anyone could see it. Some people saw it as an odd pairing. Rebecca was seen as a pretty, bubbly, loudmouth who was easy to like, while Adam was an average looking shy lanky boy. They were often questioned on their matching but it didn't matter, they were best friends. He supported her through her course and forced her to relax. And she tackled his insecurities and forced a sense of drive in him.

Rebecca was his first girlfriend but he treated her like she deserved, with kindness and respect. He was a bit awkward with the sex side of things, but his eagerness made up for any inexperience.
They made meals and watched series, and whispered the nights away. They would go out for drinks together: people watching and talk of music. It was almost magical the way the rest of the world disappeared when they sat in a corner of a bar. The noise and the stress of the world vanished and they were left alone to their love. They would go out with friends to the night club, with Rebecca dancing around Adam as he awkwardly stepped from side to side. Adam had to deal with the looks Rebecca got, but felt empowered with the knowledge that at the end of the night they would stagger home together in their own little world.

Life was good, and they were happy. They were serious about each other but the relationship they had felt like relaxing. They only had a few disagreements, one wouldn't even call them arguments. Rebecca felt communication was imperative, and made sure they were constantly on the same page. They didn't discuss the future, but it never really mattered, when they were together: past and future ceased to exist entirely.
