Kuya Ray dropped me of at Hotel Michael shortly after I arrived. I thanked him after and went to the receptionist to get my keycard.
Hotel Michael in Sentosa was everyone's dream come true.
I was even more amazed when I saw my ocean suite.
This must have cost a fortune! Mr. Lim really knows the best type of vacation for himself when he ordered me to book this type of suite.
I was even thankful that he chose me to tag along with him to run their business, let alone meet our potential client.
This ocean suite has its own living room and a bedroom in it. Marbled walls and tiles adorned the bathroom and a beautiful modern shower to accompany it.
On the other side of the bedroom is a glass wall where you can see sea creatures freely swimming around. Its like having your own giant aquarium right in your own room!
I was really struck with awe and amazement that I immediately took my phone off and started taking pictures from the living room up to the bedroom and bathroom.
Every little thing here was awesome!
Before I forgot my purpose for this trip, I immediately pulled out my laptop and charged it together with my phone. I informed Mr. Lim that I successfully arrived safe and sound at the suite.
I laid out my luggage and arranged my dress and outfits for three days and hanged them inside the cabinet.
Checking the cute wall clock inside my suite, I made an alarm on my phone an hour before our meeting at the hotels's exquisite restaurant.
Still have more than four hours to spare, I reviewed again my presentation and scribbled some ideas for Mr. Torres to consider.
As soon as I was contented with it, I checked my phone again and decided to make another alarm 30 minutes before my previous alarm to give way to a warm shower to enjoy myself with.
With such plans in mind, I was able to fall asleep for a while.
It didn't took long enough for me to have energy for tonight's meeting since I already ate lunch in Manila before boarding the plane and snacks while on our way here.
Clad in my black sleeveless top and a peach blazer and skirt terno paired with one-inch heels, I neatly applied light make-up and my favorite cherry lipstick.
Satisfied with my look, I even snapped a selfie and uploaded it on Instagram.
Grabbing my sling bag which I brought along with me, I placed my phone, wallet and passport inside. Holding the laptop inside my laptop cover, I pulled out the keycard and made sure that my room was locked and went to the elevator to meet my client.
I politely smiled at the old couple who were inside the elevator when I got in and checked my email. It says, 6:00 pm is our call time. I am thirty minutes early.
When the elevator reached the ground floor, I stepped out and walked my way towards the restaurant just across it.
Their restaurant was really marvelous. Every detail was neatly planned and coordinated with the hotel's theme.
I said my reservation to the lady in charge of the customers and made my way to our spot.
My mind went wild when I saw how beautiful the place is.
Since I was thirty minutes early, I was able to admire the place and took some pictures as a remembrance.
I checked my watch again and saw that any minute now will be our meeting.
Fifteen minutes have passed and Mr. Torres' presence was still not seen nor felt.
I sighed and asked water from the waiter. The waiter immediately did so and I thankfully accepted it.
Another fifteen minutes had passed and no Mr. Torres appeared.
Suddenly when I was about to give up, a frantic-looking man in blue suit and tie with a suitcase hurried to my direction which the reservationist directed him.
My eyes widened when I saw who it was.
The airplane guy!
"Excuse me? Miss Olivia Antonio?" The man asked and extended his hand for a handshake.
I met his gaze and my jaw almost dropped how he looked so divine compared to his jock-looking aura earlier at the plane.
"Uh, yes. You are?" I managed to ask and he sat down across from me.
"I'm Peter Jin." The guy said and opened the buttons of his coat. "Nice meeting you."
Eh? Looks like he didn't recognize me.
"Have you ordered yet?" He asked and I shook my head. He signalled for the waiter and told him his order.
He asked me and I told him my order. He told the waiter and while waiting for our foods we started to talk.
"I'm Mr. Torres' business associate here in Singapore. I just got out from another meeting and I got held up in a traffic along Orchard Road. Wala akong contact number mo kaya hindi kita maabisuhan." He explained while opening his laptop. "Mr. Torres couldn't come as well. He says he has to attend to something urgent so he asked me to see you instead."
"It's fine. I just got here anyway." I said. Lie.
He started talking about their business and I just listened. I could hear my tummy growling in hunger when he stifled a laugh.
I glared at him and he laughed louder.
"Ayun! Finally! Ito na ang sagot sa kahilingan mo-err, naten!" Peter grinned and started to dig in.
Thanking the waiter, I said a silent prayer and ate as well.
I decided to present my proposal after dinner so that the possibility of approving it is high because of our full tummies.
I heaved a deep sigh when my mouth delved into the sweet warm taste of devil's cake.
It was so creamy and delicious! Really chocolatey! Definitely My new favorite!
I almost closed my eyes to savor its sweetness when I remembered I have someone with me on the table.
I saw Peter stared at me in amazement. His jaw hanged open with his fork midway to his mouth.
I instantly became shy and shove the last slice of cake into my mouth.
"Paano nga ulet yun, Miss Antonio?" Peter asked and I could see his ears turning pink as he laughed his heart out. "Sarap na sarap ah!"
I could feel my cheeks redden in embarrassment.
I put down my fork loudly on my plate and did not say a word.
Peter was still laughing that other people started to watch our table.
God! I feel so humiliated!
I know that it wasn't supposed to be a big deal but the mere fact that I became a center of attention is!
With no second look at him, I started fixing my things and pulled out some. money from my wallet, placed it kn top of the table and stood up.
On my heels, I spun around and left him all by himself.
